According to the data of the provincial price bureau's fixed-point survey of 90 soybean growers in 10 counties (districts) in the province a few days ago, the per unit yield of soybean planting in our province decreased in 2016, the total cost increased, the purchase price fell, and the income of growers declined. It is understood that the soybean output per mu in our province this year is 126.78 kg, down 24.75kg from last year's 151.53 kg. The main reason is the "pre-waterlogging and post-drought" during the soybean planting period, especially the high temperature and drought which lasted for more than 40 days in the later period, which affected the yield and quality of soybean to a certain extent.

The selling price of soybeans in our province this year is 186.64 yuan / 50 kg, down 17.95 yuan / 50 kg compared with 204.59 yuan / 50 kg last year. This price is also the lowest in the soybean survey period since 2010. The analysis shows that the main reason is that the domestic soybean price is higher than the import price. The incoming distribution price of China's imported soybeans in October is about 3.50 yuan / kg, while the new season soybeans sold by traders in northern Anhui is about 4.00 yuan / kg. Second, the soybean in our province is affected by the disastrous weather this year, the soybean grain is small, shriveled and not full, and the oil production rate is reduced, which affects the market sales price. Survey data show that the main cost items, such as seeds, chemical fertilizers, pesticides and machinery, have changed little, while labor costs and land costs have increased in varying degrees, which are the main reasons for the increase in total costs this year. Of this total, the labor cost in 2016 was 228.34 yuan, an increase of 47.45 yuan, or 26.23 percent, over 180.83 yuan last year; and the cost of land was 223.17 yuan per mu, an increase of 14.81 yuan, or 7.11 percent, over 208.36 yuan last year.

Affected by per unit yield, falling prices and rising costs, the output value of soybeans in our province in 2016 was 490.45 yuan per mu, a decrease of 143.35 yuan, or 22.62 percent, compared with 633.80 yuan last year. After deducting the total cost, the net profit per mu is at a loss. In this regard, a relevant person from the Provincial Price Bureau suggested that in order to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of soybean farmers in our province, the soybean target price subsidy policy should be popularized in our province as soon as possible.
