In a food city with an area of thousands of square meters, many dishes on the dining table were left with food, and some bowls had more than half of the noodles, and people had already left.

World Food Day aims to arouse the world's attention and concern for the development of food production and warn the world to cherish and save food. This is not only because food is the spirit of the earth, is a gift given by nature to human life, but also because each grain of food is full of the hard work of the cultivator in spring sowing and autumn harvest, winter storage and summer storage. The unreasonable waste of "most of the people left" not only violates the national cultural tradition of diligence and thrift, but also lacks respect for labor and reverence for nature.

A set of data may sound alarm bells for people who waste food: According to experts, one in eight people in the world are threatened with hunger, while one in three of the food produced each year is wasted. At the beginning of this year, a group of survey data from China Agricultural University showed that the protein and fat wasted by catering alone would reach 11 million tons a year nationwide, which is equivalent to 200 million people's annual rations.

Examining people's bad habits of eating without thrift, not only rich food and clothing, but also the vanity mentality of "wasting nothing" derived from the improvement of life. To correct the waste habit of "leaving more than half of the face", we should first strengthen the education of frugal virtue of cherishing grain and advocating thrift, so that "saving glory, waste shame" becomes the universal value orientation of society; secondly, we should break down the wrong idea of comparing and showing off wealth, and correct the cognitive misunderstanding that people's long-term solidified "CD", namely "shabby" and "leftover banquet" can be called "feast" through explanation of accounting comparison and other reasons. Therefore,"how much to eat" and "how much to eat" become people's eating habits; at the same time, restaurants should also assume the social responsibility of "eliminating waste on the tip of the tongue", in line with the scientific, moderate, CD-ROM diet principle, guide the platter mode, push half dishes, etc.; in addition, the government also needs to introduce corresponding encouragement and punishment measures for the catering market.
