Ren Jinglong specializes in blueberries to drive people to become rich.

Ren Jinglong has been studying blueberries for 18 years. Ren Jinglong, born in 1975, is a native of Zhangwu County and graduated from Shenyang Agricultural University in 2001. He first met blueberries in 1999 and became interested in blueberries after learning that blueberries do not use any pesticides and have high nutritional value. After graduation, he went to work in Shenyang Agricultural Science and Technology Development Institute for a year, specializing in blueberry breeding, cultivation and other techniques.

After that, Ren Jinglong worked successively as a technical consultant in modern agriculture and Chuanshun agriculture in Shun'an, Jilin Province. At that time, Chuanshun Agriculture had a blueberry base of 20 mu in Bakeshu Town, Kaiyuan City, and Ren Jinglong often studied blueberry cultivation techniques in the forest. With his senior technical level, he attracted the attention of Gong Dianfu, the former party committee secretary who was inspecting the get-rich project for Lin Fengxiang at that time.

Linfeng Township, Kaiyuan City, located in the east of Kaiyuan, belongs to the western end of Hadaling, Jilin Province, the residual vein of Changbai Mountain, and has a unique blueberry planting environment. In 2008, Linfeng Township began to develop the blueberry industry, but due to the lack of technical support, blueberry growers felt the stones across the river, inevitably took a lot of detours, Yang Wencheng is one of them.

Yang Wencheng began to learn about blueberries at the end of 2008 and planted more than 120 mu of blueberries in early 2009. In 2011, due to technical immaturity, Yang Wencheng mistakenly used urea on his blueberry base and burned more than 40 mu of blueberry seedlings, resulting in an economic loss of four or five hundred thousand yuan that year.

Having suffered such a big technical deficit, Gong Dianfu, the former party committee secretary of Lin Fengxiang, can no longer sit still and must hire a senior technology. He thought of Ren Jinglong. Through various inquiries, I learned that Ren Jinglong had returned to his hometown of Zhangwu County to start a business and cultivate blueberry saplings by himself.

Yang Wencheng has listened to Ren Jinglong's lessons and knows Ren Jinglong very well. He and Gong Dianfu went to Zhangwu County to invite Ren Jinglong to Linfeng Township to do technical guidance. After negotiation, Linfeng Township decided to help Ren Jinglong solve the entrepreneurial problem in terms of land leases and loans, attract Ren Jinglong to start a business in Linfeng Township, and retain this technical general.

Blueberry planting has high requirements on the base, and it must be planted in pieces in order to ensure the survival rate of blueberry saplings. therefore, land wrapping is the first difficult problem for Ren Jinglong to start his business. In order to keep Ren Jinglong, the party committee of Linfeng Township assigned a special person to coordinate the problem of contracting land for him, and after half a year, he successfully helped him contract 100 mu of land to establish a blueberry base.

The initial investment of this 100 mu of land is about 700000 yuan, and the capital has become another big problem. Linfeng Township successfully helped Ren Jinglong to make a loan through coordination. In 2012, Ren Jinglong's blueberry base was finally built, and his heart was rooted in Linfeng.

Ren Jinglong will bear in mind the truth of putting in peaches and rewarding Li. After he arrived in Linfeng, he wholeheartedly guided blueberry growers to raise seedlings and cultivation, set up tissue culture rooms, and used tissue culture seedlings with high yield and disease resistance, which greatly improved the survival rate and life span of blueberry seedlings.

In addition to taking up the important task of technical guidance for the more than 1000 mu blueberry base in Linfeng Township, Ren Jinglong also brought several "apprentices", Yang Wencheng, Yu Hairui, and so on, all of whom he brought out.

At present, the blueberry base in Linfeng Township reaches 1300 mu, with an annual output of about 130T, an average price of 15 yuan per jin and annual sales of about 4 million yuan.

Because of the good development prospect of blueberry industry, blueberry cultivation is listed as a precision poverty alleviation project. In this regard, Ren Jinglong is very optimistic. He said, for example, that in the first year, a household only needs to invest 7,000 to 8,000 yuan to grow two mu of blueberries, and the average management fee in the next four years is less than 1,000 a year. In the sixth year, blueberries will reach the fruit-bearing period, and all the investment will be recovered. After that, the annual income can reach about 10,000 yuan. If 50-year-old people in rural areas grow blueberries, it is equivalent to buying an old-age insurance for themselves.

In order to attract more farmers to plant blueberries and help poverty alleviation accurately, Ren Jinglong reduced his income and profit and reduced the price of blueberry saplings from 12 yuan to 6 yuan for sale, which greatly reduced the planting cost of farmers.

In addition, blueberry seedlings, pruning and fruit picking are generally in early April, July, August and November, which is the leisure time to solve the problem of idle labor force, with an average income of about 100 yuan a day.

According to Ren Jinglong, at present, the blueberry varieties in Linfeng Township are mainly processing varieties, Beilu. The corresponding fresh food varieties have the advantages of sweet taste, large fruit and long storage time. To this end, Ren Jinglong began to introduce five or six new cold-tolerant varieties in 2015 and is currently in the experimental stage. After selecting and popularizing new varieties on a large scale, the quality of blueberries will be greatly improved and the blueberry industry in Linfeng Township will be promoted again.
