Xiangdong "chicken commander" in the face of failure does not admit defeat
"Chicken Commander" Liu Liang and his native chicken
Although he worked outside for 10 years, he kept in mind the ancient motto of "falling leaves return to their roots"; although he was a "chicken skill blind", he was determined to be a "chicken commander"; although he raised chickens for three consecutive years, he lost his money, but he relied on perseverance and persistence to become a rich expert at the end of 7 years. This "chicken commander" who refused to admit defeat in the face of defeat was Liu Liang, a farmer in Nanan Village, Dongqiao Town, Xiangdong District.
Liu Liang, 36, dropped out of school after finishing his first year of junior high school because of poor family life as a teenager. In 2000, Liu Liang left his hometown and worked south for 11 years. Over the years, he has found a business opportunity: some farms develop green farming, self-production and self-marketing, and business is booming. He thought, hometown mountain field soil is more, it is better to return home to start a business, set up an ecological farm, develop breeding industry, anyway hand also earned more than 100,000 yuan.
Therefore, at the beginning of 2011, Liu Liang took advantage of the hot iron, returned home to raise chickens, and selected the chicken farm in a relatively remote, natural environment, fresh air mountain corner, that is, Nanan Village Dashichong reservoir tail, and insisted on not feeding feed, not captive, let chickens grow freely in the green mountains, breeding original ecological native chickens, and let them produce original ecological eggs.
As a chicken "layman", the difficulty is much greater than imagined. In the first year, from the first batch of 600 chickens to the second batch of 400 chickens, and then to the third batch of 300 chickens, due to lack of scientific management and chicken disease prevention, blind breeding, eventually resulting in hard breeding batch after batch of "baby chickens", each batch died in batches and ended, not a single one remained. In the face of this kind of failure, he frowned and carefully analyzed the reasons for the failure, thus starting to learn chicken raising technology online.
The next year, he thought he had basically mastered the chicken technology and wanted to do a big job to recover the losses ahead. However, the first batch of 1200, when raised to three or four catties a day, only sold more than 300, the rest of the chicken disease and all died. The second batch of 600 chickens and the third batch of 300 chickens were sold only a part of them, and the rest died because of the disease. This year, his heart ached so much that he cried, but he still didn't lose heart and tried hard to find the reason.
In the third year, Liu Liang raised several batches of native chickens, but also lost all his money. At the end of the year, his heart ached like he was sick. He washed his face with tears every day, couldn't eat, and couldn't sleep well. His family advised him not to engage in this loss-making industry, in addition to working outside the savings spent, but also owed more than 100,000 debts, if again failed how to do? However, Liu Liang still did not believe in evil. "I think the reason for my failure is because I don't understand technology and lack funds. It's purely layman's nonsense, but I always have confidence in my choice!"
As the saying goes, entrepreneurship, no one can casually succeed. Liu Liang knows this truth very well. In his opinion, if you want to succeed, you must persist. By 2015, he, who has been in debt of more than 300,000 yuan because of raising chickens, bought books and devoted himself to study, visited well-known laying hen farms, actively participated in various breeding technology exchange meetings and peer exchanges, and learned from them. Because he was eager to learn and willing to endure hardship, he soon mastered the key technology of all aspects of breeding.
In learning and groping, Liu Liang adopted planting Chinese herbal medicine to feed chickens, and planted ryegrass and Chinese herbal medicine in every corner of the farm. It not only increases the source channel of chicken feed, but also plays an epidemic prevention role in chicken diseases. The chickens raised are safer and healthier, and it is also a beautiful scenery. He continued to ask friends and relatives for help and tried every means to raise funds. Finally, in 2015, he confidently established Jiayi Farm.
Failure is the mother of success. Liu Liang's road to entrepreneurship became wider and wider. Since then, his farm has more than 3000 laying hens. The eggs are not only sold to Pingxiang and surrounding areas, but also to Dongguan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other places. In 2016, the output value reached 600,000 yuan, and the net income reached more than 200,000 yuan in 2016. In addition, he also successfully raised ducks, geese, pigeons, bees, rabbits, ostriches and so on.
Today, Liu Liang and his parents live in an old house abandoned for many years. To this, Liu Liang said, in the early days of starting a business, only this will happen. In this environment, he has always insisted on his green entrepreneurial dream. "Green breeding will be the future development direction. Green circular ecological breeding and healthy agricultural ecology are good things for the benefit of the country and the people. In the future, we will set up professional companies, strengthen scientific research and management, build Internet + platforms, and develop in the direction of sightseeing agriculture."
Talking about his years of hard work, Liu Liang said, When he raised chickens to the third year, Because of failure, His family disappointed with him, All left home to work, He watched parents a lot of age still go out to work, Heart really uncomfortable, A person ran to the mountains to raise chickens. At that time, although the breeding environment here was relatively good, but at night, it was dark. Liu Liang, who was sleeping alone in the hut house, dared not go out at all. There were wild animals and unknown birds everywhere. In addition, the thatch here was taller than him, and there were no roads. There were basically no vegetables to eat, and it was too far to go out to buy them. "I've been losing money for too long and I don't have any money. My family always wants me to get rid of raising chickens as soon as possible. When I lost money in the second year, I felt desperate. I didn't expect it to be even more desperate in the third year." He said,"Along the way, Special thanks to a lot of friends and relatives who support me, Especially the township government and Xiangdong District Employment Bureau, Give me a lot of learning opportunities, Make my layer breeding industry development began to step into the fast lane."
