Chen Yaping, 41, embarked on the road to work in Beijing after graduating from junior high school because of his poor family. In Beijing, seeing the prosperity and development of the city, and thinking of the backwardness and poverty of his hometown, he was determined to start a business and become rich with his fellow villagers. While working, Chen Yaping found that urban residents have a growing demand for ecological food, and his hometown is located on the western edge of Ziwuling forest area. Lin Fengguoxin, with beautiful pastoral scenery, is very suitable for the development of ecological farming. With this idea in mind, he studied by himself while working, and mastered a lot of scientific and technological knowledge of breeding and raising ecological pigs.

In 2012, Chen Yaping returned to his hometown and started a business. With the support of the government, he, together with five villagers in the village, registered to establish a professional cooperative of Jiannong breeding farmers in Ningxian County, was elected as its chairman, and led the villagers to set up a breeding and breeding base for thousands of high-quality ecological breeding pigs on the ditch bank on the western edge of Jiexi Village.

In the cooperative's high-quality ecological pig breeding and breeding base, there are all kinds of modern breeding facilities, and the base is surrounded by apple orchards and seedling orchards, with a quiet environment and fresh air, which is an ideal environment for breeding and raising high-quality ecological breeding pigs.

In recent years, in order to build this base into a leading enterprise in modern agricultural industrialization for breeding and raising high-quality ecological pigs in the county and even the whole city, Chen Yaping led more than 60 members with the model of "cooperatives providing pig breeding, standardized ecological forage formula and technical guidance, unified repurchase of eco-finished pigs", and constantly optimizing the breeding base along the path of "cooperative + base + member households + farmers". Improve the infrastructure and expand the scale of breeding. The cooperative also hired animal husbandry and veterinarians from Longnan, installed broadband, set up WeChat groups and set up e-commerce. On the basis of regularly organizing members to go to other places for on-the-spot observation and inspection, they are also organized to learn high-quality ecological pig breeding techniques through the Internet and WeChat groups.

Zhang Min, a Shaanxi merchant who came to buy finished pigs, told me: "in addition to corn, rice millet and other grain feed, pigs here also eat weeds, alfalfa, leaves and other forage grasses. The pigs raised by this original ecological method taste good, sell well, and have a good price." As the pig manure produced in the base contains no harmful substances, it is bought by local eco-organic fruit and vegetable operators as raw materials for the production of biogas.

Up to now, the cooperative base has provided more than 16500 high-quality ecological breeding pigs to members and local farmers in surrounding counties and cities, and exported 25500 high-quality ecological pigs. The average annual income of members and ordinary farmers who raise 10 high-quality ecological pigs is more than 10,000 yuan.

"Today, the feeding base of this cooperative has promoted the sustainable development of ecological breeding and planting in the town, promoted the development of modern sightseeing agriculture in the town, and led nearly a thousand households to become rich."
