Tan Junping observes the growth of rabbits every day.

"Rabbit, open the door." For Tan Junping, group 5 of Jinbao Village, Maguan Town, the rabbit with long ears and red eyes opens the door for him to get rich.

From 2013 to 2016, Tan Junping's rabbit farm produced more than 30,000 meat rabbits a year, with a profit of more than 400,000 yuan.

"Rabbits only eat two meals a day, and they have less disease and are easier to raise." According to Tan Junping, the rabbit farm is dominated by meat rabbits, including Harbin White Rabbit, long-haired Rabbit, New Zealand Rabbit and so on.

In 2013, when 45-year-old Tan Junping returned to his hometown from Zhejiang to learn about Axingji rabbit breeding base in Zhongxian County, he made up his mind to go home and start a business.

Subsequently, Tan Junping spent half a month in Bishan District and other places to learn rabbit raising skills, rabbit house construction, rabbit disease prevention, feeding methods, and even how much energy a rabbit consumes every day. Tan Junping took careful notes. This training, Tan Junping spent several thousand yuan at his own expense, but it was still worth it, because he not only learned the breeding technology, but also solved the problem of rabbit marketing, and found buyers in the catering industry in Bishan District of Chongqing, Zigong City of Sichuan Province, Neijiang City and other places.

When he returned to Jinbao Village after the training, Tan Junping immediately coordinated the transfer of land, opened the uphill road, transformed the rabbit shed, and set up a Zhongxian Huadi Meat Rabbit Farm.

"starting from small-scale breeding, our family has a clear division of labor. My parents are now important breeders, my wife is responsible for taking care of female rabbits and breeding rabbits, and I am responsible for epidemic prevention and baby rabbit breeding, marketing and sales." Tan Junping said with a smile.

The road home to start a business is not easy. The 5000 meat rabbits raised on a small scale in the first year were very successful, made money, the family was very confident, and immediately expanded the scale of breeding in the second year. "due to the lack of experience in large-scale aquaculture, management can not keep up, and some losses have occurred one after another. I am glad to have chosen to stick to it. After summing up experiences and lessons and improving aquaculture techniques, they are getting better and better." Tan Junping said that his rabbits were very popular and had to be booked half a month in advance.

"Agriculture has high risks, large investment and long cycle." In this regard, Tan Junping also made a summary: the first is to persist, the second is to ensure a continuous capital chain, the third is to master technology, and the fourth is to aim at the market and pay attention to marketing. Tan Junping also believes that his success depends not only on mature farming technology, but also on the support given by the local party committee and government in the implementation of breeding sites and discount loans. Tan Junping said that his success is rooted in the good policies of the country and in the nourishment of his native land.
