Dong Hongtao in Zhengning County raises local chickens under the forest and opens the door to getting rich.

"over the course of a year, my farm has a net income of 30,000 yuan by selling native chickens and eggs." On February 15, Dong Hongtao, the owner of "Dagou Green Ecological Farm" in Zhengning County, told the author happily.

In the past, Dong Hongtao, a villager of the eighth group of Fotang in Yongzheng Town, Zhengning County, had been working outside and could not save much money all the year round, so he could only make a living. In the face of such a current situation, Dong Hongtao, through in-depth thinking, conducted many market investigations, and other work, he focused on the goal of native chicken breeding, decided to make use of the advantages of home housing to set up native chicken farms.

In March 2016, Dong Hongtao called on four people in Murakami to set up a "Dagou Green Ecological Farm", bought more than 1000 native chickens from other places, and began to raise native chickens under the forest. Dong Hongtao lives halfway up the mountain, and there are large forests in front and behind the house, and there are several abandoned caves around, which provides convenient conditions for stocking under the forest. After the establishment of the farm, with the help of parents, gradually embarked on the track, feeding chickens are grown in their own fields, saving costs.

At the end of the year, native chickens and eggs from the farm brought the family the first income from breeding, and Dong Hongtao was busy advertising online sales on QQ, Wechat, Weibo and other platforms. Through online publicity, Dong Hongtao's 600 native chickens and eggs were sold out without having to go out. Father Dong Weimin said: "the current network is so convenient, customers come to buy, really save a lot of trouble!"

Speaking of his plans for this year, Dong Hongtao said: "if there is a good market this year and native chickens and eggs can be sold at a good price, I intend to further expand the scale of farming, implement fully automated farming, and drive the masses of the village to participate and work together to become rich and well-off."
