Zhang Kailong is an ordinary farmer who lives in Group 11 of Tieling Village, Luocheng Town, Jianwei County. there are only two people in his family. He and his mother Zhou Chunlian are living a simple and strapped life.

Mother has been paralyzed in bed since 2010 and can't take care of herself. Under such a situation at home, Zhang Kairong, who was originally a migrant worker, could only choose to go home to work as a farmer in order to take better care of his mother.

Over the past few years, Zhang Kailong beat his mother's back and washed her feet every day, taking care of her diet and daily life, ensuring that her mother lived in a relatively hygienic environment. Although he took good care of his mother, the living conditions at home had not been improved, which made Zhang Kailong very depressed.

However, since the work of getting rid of poverty has been carried out, life has slowly undergone qualitative changes. After Zhang Kailong became a poor household with a card for setting up archives, village group cadres came home many times to learn about the situation, encouraged him to develop industries and helped formulate measures to get rid of poverty. In the help of the village organization, Zhang Kairong saw the hope of getting rid of poverty and becoming rich.

Zhang Kailong's family used to raise a sow, which is sold every year by piglets born by sows. After birth, these piglets usually have to be raised for more than 2 months and are sold only when they grow to about 50 jin. The price of one head is more than 700 yuan. Last year, more than 40 piglets were sold with an income of more than 20,000 yuan, and they were successfully lifted out of poverty.

The village director and the "first secretary" encouraged him to expand the pigsty and expand the scale of pig farming through small loans. At the beginning, Zhang Kailong did not dare to take risks easily for fear of losing money, so he delayed making a decision. Later, village cadres came home many times to explain the party's good policies. With the help of the village organization, Zhang Kailong won a loan of 30,000 yuan. In the second half of 2016, he enjoyed a subsidy of 6000 yuan from the government's "three reforms" policy. now, Zhang Kailong's living environment has been improved and he has bought a new sofa and coffee table.

At present, there are 1 sow and 16 piglets in Zhang Kailong's family. This year, he plans to expand the size of the pigsty, feeding seven sows, and the little sows can give birth in half a year, so that they can produce more than 100 piglets a year. Zhang Kailong has cleaned up the pigsty early and is ready to build a pen of more than 20 square meters by himself.

With the development of the industry, both Zhang Kairong and his mother saw the hope of life. I used to think that I could only grow crops in a down-to-earth manner, but now I didn't expect that I could get rid of poverty smoothly and improve my living conditions by raising pigs. Zhang Kailong said excitedly: "Thank you for the party's good policy and everyone's concern and help. I will continue to work hard to learn more farming techniques and rely on my own hands to create a better life."
