"usually, I put the wild boar up the mountain at dawn, but you can't see it now." On May 13, Su Xiang, who was feeding wild boars on the Taiping Mountain in Nahutun, Mahao Village, Guzang Town, Xilin County, said.

Su Xiang's breeding site is on the hillside, where there are no villages, only overlapping hills, lush trees, clouds in the valley, fresh air, ravines at the foot of the mountain, gurgling water, forming a beautiful ink ecological picture.

Su Xiang sprinkled corn kernels on the ground, and his wife immediately opened the door of the pigsty, and more than 100 wild boars grabbed corn at the same time. The wild boar is tough and looks a little scary. Su Xiang said, "the mountains are their paradise. After feeding some corn, wild boars will go to the mountains to find food. Weeds, wild fruits and potato plants are all their delicacies." After a while, after eating the corn, the wild boar disappeared into the deep mountains and dense forests without the need for its owner to drive it out.

Speaking of raising wild boars, Su Xiang and his wife looked proud.

Su Xiang was originally a forest ranger at the Taiping Mountain Forest Protection Station in Mahao Village. During that time, he and his wife raised sows and pigs in the forest station. Later, because the pig market was depressed, he thought of giving up.

"once, a sow gave birth to a litter of piglets, including gray-black and brown-red fur. I think there may be a chance this time." Su Xiang said that this must be the offspring of farmed sows and wild boars, so he tried to find money-making opportunities by raising second-generation wild boars.

Since 2000, Su Xiang has sent all the sows to the mountains to breed with wild boars. At the same time, he has also selected the second generation of wild sows to slowly expand the scale of breeding. Now he can produce more than 100 wild boars every year. "the second generation of wild boars are all released, growing to more than 70 kilograms a year. They are favored by customers and are not affected by market fluctuations. Hairy pigs can be sold for 60 yuan per kilogram." Su Xiang said that in addition to this county, customers in Longlin, Baise, Nanning and other places have called to order.

"there are now more than 30 sows, and this year's wild boar pups are all left to raise on their own, and it is expected to grow to 300-500." Su Xiang's wife, who was cleaning pig dung, interrupted, looking excited and proud.

Wild boar farming in Fangye made Su Xiang taste the sweetness of "relying on the mountain to eat the mountain", while raising sheep in the mountains made his life more interesting.

Su Xiang's goat farm was built on the edge of the cold water ditch at the foot of Taiping Mountain. Although it echoes with the pig farm and can be seen from each other, it takes more than a kilometer to go on.

After the wild boar entered the mountain, Su Xiang and his wife rode a motorcycle to the sheep farm. As soon as he blew his whistle, flocks of goats gathered around to eat the salt sprinkled by their master. After the goat drank the salt water, Su Xiangyang whipped the goat up the mountain. He said that with the help of the local government, he currently keeps more than 600 sheep in his sheep farm.

After the development of the industry, Su Xiang also thought of his neighbors. In 2015, he registered 1.2 million yuan to set up the "Xiangyun Goat Farmers' Professional Cooperative" in Xilin County, creating a model for people in need and opening a way for villagers to get rich. Under his leadership, 11 poor farmers in the village have cooperated with him in raising wild boars and goats, and the annual income of each household has basically achieved the goal of getting rid of poverty.
