Cao Xiaofei, a college student returning to his hometown, leads the masses to become rich.

On the eve of International Children's Day on June 1st, children from the bilingual kindergarten in Yukaxati Village, Karatale Town, Aksu City, each received a holiday gift: a toy worth 50 yuan and a set of learning paraphernalia.

The gift was given to their "big brother" Cao Xiaofei. As the first college student to return to the village, Cao Xiaofei led the villagers to set up cooperatives, plant jujube trees and set up online stores to make them rich together.

Cao Xiaofei's father, Cao Mingzhi, has never left since he came to Yukaxati village in 1983.

"my father stayed because the Uighur villagers in the village sent a few kilograms of rice and a bag of flour to help him through the most difficult time. Therefore, my father has always taught me not to forget my roots, and when I have the ability in the future, I must help the Uygur villagers in the village! " Cao Xiaofei said.

In 2008, Cao Xiaofei, 22, graduated from Heilongjiang Harbin Vocational and Technical College of Biotechnology and returned to his hometown to learn the technique of grafting red dates from his father. Subsequently, he set up a jujube grafting team in the village to undertake the work of jujube grafting everywhere. At present, the grafting work of most jujube growers in Karatale Town of Aksu City is contracted by Cao Xiaofei's jujube grafting team, which has increased the income for the minority people in the village.

In 2009, Cao Xiaofei set up a professional cooperative for jujube farmers in southern Xinjiang, which was attended by more than a dozen Uygur villagers. At present, the cooperative has developed 133 villagers. While setting up professional cooperatives, Cao Xiaofei also set up a "jujube processing plant for jujube farmers in southern Xinjiang," which implemented an one-stop service of production, supply and marketing, and solved the worries of jujube growers in the village.

"through unified technical management, the output of red dates has increased, the price has improved, and sales have also gone up. It is really good for Cao Xiaofei to initiate and set up a specialized cooperative for farmers. Today, almost every jujube grower in the village who participates in the cooperative has a car. " Under the guidance of Cao Xiaofei, Yassen Imin, who once made a net profit of 20,000 yuan per mu of red jujube, said.

In Yukaxati village, the cadres and people in the village all know that Cao Xiaofei's agricultural materials and machinery are "public", and anyone can borrow them at will.

"We have little land at home, so it's not cost-effective to buy machinery. It just so happens that Boss Cao has it at home and he's nice. I borrow his agricultural machinery every year to save money on agricultural machinery." The villager Rehelman Kurban said.

Cao Xiaofei also often does public welfare. In 2010, he spent nearly 20,000 yuan to send cash, rice, flour, clean oil and other condolences to 20 poor Uygur villagers in the village. in 2016, he bought projectors and office supplies for the village free of charge, added office desks, chairs and other items to the village school, and improved the office and learning environment of the village committee and school.

"Cao Xiaofei is a model of national unity in our village. he leads us to get rich together. His family's fertilizer, pesticide, diesel and fruit packaging materials have always been given free to the poor villages in the village. He is an example for us to learn from."
