Rose deep processing industry becomes rich and blossoms fragrance
In recent years, Hedi Town, Yangquan City has made great efforts to develop rose deep processing industry and sell rose products. At present, cooperatives have initially formed an one-stop industrial pattern of planting, sorting, processing and sales. Moreover, the extension of the industrial chain has also led to the employment of villagers.
Recently, the Qifeng Emperor Rose Manor, located in Zhaishan, East Village, Hedi Town, is full of beautiful roses with a striking fragrance. The head of the manor, Li Xiaohong, and the staff are busy fertilizing and weeding, preparing for the first Rose picking Festival to be held from May 19 to 21.
Set up a cooperative
Develop edible rose industry
Li Xiaohong, 45, is from the east village of Hedi Town. In her early years, she operated a beauty salon and agricultural products shop, and accumulated a certain amount of money. In 2013, by chance, Li Xiaohong learned that farmers in many parts of Shandong have a tradition of growing edible roses, and the benefits are better. Referring to the data, Li Xiaohong learned that edible roses are rich in a variety of amino acids and trace elements needed by the human body, which not only has ornamental value, but also can make food such as rose wine and rose tea, as well as beauty products such as rose dew and rose essential oil. it has a wide range of uses, which gave her the idea of planting edible roses.
The rose industry is good, but is it suitable for planting in the East Village? For this reason, Li Xiaohong and his wife visited Shaanxi, Henan, Shandong, Gansu and other places many times to understand the planting conditions and techniques of edible roses. When it was determined that the East Village was suitable for growing edible roses, Li Xiaohong and his lover decided to develop the edible rose industry and set up a professional cooperative for planting roses in Yangquan Qifeng Emperor. In 2014, 15000 edible rose seedlings were planted in 20 greenhouses covering an area of 30 acres.
Encounter the cold winter of the market
Turn the train of thought into deep processing
After sowing hope, Li Xiaohong, as a "novice", encountered a "big test" in her life. Due to the strong market trend of edible roses in previous years, many people have joined the growing ranks of edible roses, and the planting area of the country has grown rapidly, resulting in oversupply and falling prices.
It was originally intended to sell only roses, but the price fell again and again, so that Li Xiaohong had to find a new way out. "the price of roses has fallen, but the price of rose products has not." A sentence from her lover reminded Li Xiaohong, "Why not extend the industrial chain and do rose deep processing project!"
In 2016, the edible roses she planted bloomed for the first time, but did not sell flowers directly, but sold rose products after deep processing.
In Li Xiaohong's yard, roses are placed neatly on the sieve net. "after drying, you can make rose tea." The whole flower can be made into rose tea, the whole petal can be made into rose wine and rose cream, and the broken petals can be made into rose sauce and rose cake. After distillation, condensation and other procedures, roses can also be made into rose essential oil. Li Xiaohong took out the rose products of the cooperative and showed them to reporters. Today, Li Xiaohong's cooperative has initially formed an one-stop industrial pattern of planting, sorting, processing and sales.
Drive the villagers to obtain employment
To become rich, flowers bloom and smell fragrant.
Li Xiaohong extends the industrial chain and makes deep rose products. While she is rich, she also promotes the employment of the villagers in this village. Hu Shuhong, 46, had a difficult life when her husband died many years ago and raised two children alone. When Li Xiaohong learned of this, she arranged a job for her in the manor so that she could have a living guarantee. Li Haiyan, 47, is also struggling with her two children. Li Xiaohong pays her 60 yuan a day and has never been in arrears.
Li Xiaohong said that during the rose picking festival, she plans to hire 70 women in the village, 40 of whom are responsible for farm work in the fields and 30 are responsible for guiding tourists and other services. On May 13, Li Xiaohong summoned some women to conduct pre-job training on rose picking, preservation, and the production of rose tea and cakes, in the hope that everyone will be more professional when greeting tourists.
The day of the picking festival is getting closer and closer, and Li Xiaohong has become busier. On May 15, she went to Shandong to buy a dryer, not only for tourists to taste delicious rose tea during the picking festival, but also for the long-term development of the cooperative.
