Last Updated: 2024/11/06, College students go back to their hometown to raise sheep to realize their dream of becoming rich.

After graduating from Xi'an Vocational and Technical College in July 2003, he resolutely chose to go back to his hometown to start a business and contracted barren mountains to raise goats. Although he experienced many setbacks, he finally stuck to his dream. He is Zhao Yonggang, a young man in Lu Village, Yanchi Township, Yao County, Tongchuan City.

Borrow money to run a sheep farm just to take care of relatives

When Zhao Yonggang graduated to look for a job, he successfully found a higher-paying job in a large company in Shanghai with good professional skills. just when he was complacent, an accident at home shattered his ideal. It turned out that his father suffered from polio when he was a child, and his mother was unable to take care of his father, which made the originally poor family even worse. The burden of the family suddenly weighed on Zhao Yonggang's thin shoulders, who had just walked out of school and had not experienced wind and rain.

After countless silent tears and painful choices, Zhao Yonggang decided to go back to his hometown to start a business, supporting the family on his own while taking care of his parents. After multi-party comparison and investigation, Zhao Yonggang chose goat farming and set up Yongzhuan Agricultural Co., Ltd.

After the establishment of the company in 2005, due to insufficient scale and substandard hardware facilities, it did not get subsidies from the state and the government. At this time, sheep prices are depressed, during this period of time, Zhao Yonggang is very busy, but life is becoming more and more difficult. But Zhao Yonggang did not give up, he chose to take a temporary break to make a comeback when the market improved.

Zhao Yonggang learned from the bitter experience and thought that he still had great deficiencies in the prediction of market conditions and the development of sales channels, so he began to read some books on sales, opened up sales channels in many ways, and began to come into contact with network marketing. In 2015, sheep prices fell sharply, and Zhao Yonggang thought the time was ripe, so he borrowed 600000 yuan to boldly copy the bottom and reopened the sheep farm. Zhao Yonggang's sheep house was poorly built because of lack of funds. as a result, several of them froze to death that winter. No way, he built the sheep shed with thatch, but "press the gourd from the ladle", and a few sheep are dying and do not eat grass. Ask a professional to diagnose, it turns out that he has an infectious disease, the reason is that the sheep house is not well ventilated. After a lot of trouble, Zhao Yonggang solved the problem of ventilation and warmth in the sheep house.

Try to learn how to control diseases and insect pests

Because the sheephouse is small, many sheep are infected with sheep acariasis, resulting in large areas of hair loss, seriously affecting the growth of sheep. The biggest headache is the sheep parasite, which can cause sheep to die within a few days. After four sheep died suddenly in 2015, Zhao Yonggang went to an expert to understand that he had passed on the parasite to the original sheep after he introduced breeding sheep from outside. After consulting a veterinarian, Zhao Yonggang learned how to prevent and cure sheep parasitic diseases.

After learning to prevent and cure common sheep diseases, in the eyes of outsiders, the simplest sheep grazing and feeding also have a lot of attention. In the winter of 2015, because there was no grass, Zhao Yonggang bought corn straw and soybean straw and broke them to feed the sheep. as a result, in less than half a month, many sheep lost their appetite, gradually lost weight and were weak all over the body. Only after seeking advice from all sides did I know that it was eating hard and indigestible feed for a long time, which led to the sheep suffering from stomach trouble in the forestomach, and it took great pains to solve this problem. In the following spring, after many sheep were fed on the mountain, they lay down on the ground and shouted, trembling all over, and asked the veterinarian to take a look, saying that the sheep ate too much and drank less water, resulting in a sharp expansion of the sheep's stomach and indigestion.

Strengthen self-confidence in starting a business and strengthen the cause of raising sheep

In a short period of more than two years, Zhao Yonggang encountered a lot of problems. At first, more than half of the goats were lost, but he survived. From 12 in 2005 to more than 300 now, many people are impressed and stop watching his jokes.

Now Zhao Yonggang has become half an expert in raising sheep, and common problems can be solved by himself. Zhao Yonggang told reporters that sheep eat almost all kinds of grass, so he plans to selectively sow herb seeds and other fast-growing forage grasses on the mountains every spring, and take turns grazing in various mountain forests to ensure the quality of the forage grasses and put an end to soil erosion caused by grazing. He also cooperates with others to add Chinese herbs such as Ganoderma lucidum to hay feed when there is no grass in winter to improve the nutritional value and immunity of goats.

It has been 12 years since the establishment of the company. Talking about the successful road from losing money to making money now, Zhao Yonggang believes that "since sheep prices can fall sharply, they will certainly be able to pick up again."

Young people go out to work for a maximum of NT $30,000 to NT $50,000 a year. I raise about 300 sheep at home. Apart from various expenses, I also have an income of NT $300000 a year. " Zhao Yonggang said proudly.

Although he has experienced too many setbacks and tribulations, Zhao Yonggang has no regrets all the time. Now he is more confident in his goat farming career, and his passion for starting a business is getting higher and higher.
