Xu Xiongneng, a villager of Qunli Village, Pingshan Township, Longan County, is a famous local breeding king. Since 2014, he has returned to his hometown to start a business, took root in the mountains, and opened up a new world through characteristic farming. Now Xu Xiongneng's bamboo rat breeding base has been on the right track, its scale has expanded, its annual income is also increasing, and it has led the surrounding villagers to shake off poverty and become rich. Recently, I went to Pingshan Township, Longan County to visit Xu Xiongneng's way to get rich by breeding.

In the bamboo rat farm of the professional cooperative of Yipincheng seed breeding in Pingshan Township, Longan County, I met Xu Xiongneng, the person in charge of the cooperative. He is not old, but he is sensible when it comes to breeding. In the bamboo rat farm, the sound of grinding teeth and gnawing came from the tiled breeding pond. The reporter looked for the sound, and a group of bamboo rats were scrambling to find food. Xu Xiongneng said that bamboo rats are not picky eaters, except for bamboo, corn, sugar cane, corn stalks and so on. In order to prevent bamboo rats from climbing and burrowing, bamboo mouse breeding boxes are made of ceramic tiles as fences and cement boards as the bottom. "it is also convenient for us to clean the rat house every day." Xu Xiong can say. Bamboo rat breeding has begun to take shape, and the supply of products exceeds demand, which has become a bright spot in the breeding industry with the characteristics of Ipingcheng cooperative.

In 2009, Xu Xiongneng worked in Hunan and Guangdong successively after graduating from Guangxi normal University for nationalities. During his stay in Guangdong, Xu Xiong learned that bamboo rat meat is tender and delicious, which is low-fat and low-cholesterol meat. at present, there is a large consumer market in large and medium-sized cities in the south and west of China, and the demand is growing rapidly.

"the cost of raising bamboo rats is low, the technical difficulty is small, and the money comes quickly, and there are no local people to raise them yet." Xu Xiong can smell the business opportunity. In 2012, Xu Xiongneng took a batch of bamboo rats bought from Guangdong to go home for the Spring Festival and let his parents keep them first. After a period of breeding, Xu Xiongneng found that bamboo rat culture has good economic benefits.

In August 2014, Xu Xiongneng and his wife returned home to start a business. In the same year, Xu Xiongneng, together with Qin Jinming of Qunli Village and Huang Zhangfeng of Tuanjie Village, jointly registered and established a professional cooperative of Yipin seed breeding in Pingshan Township, Longan County, to carry out special breeding of bamboo rats.

After the completion of Xu Xiongneng's bamboo rat breeding base, villagers are constantly encouraged to participate in culture. under his leadership, many farmers have developed bamboo rat breeding. Xu Xiongneng often organizes bamboo rat farmers to exchange technical experience and uniformly standardize a series of links in bamboo rat culture production, supply, and marketing. under their guidance, farmers have found a new way to get rich. Last year, the cooperative produced more than 1600 jin of bamboo rodents per year, with an annual output value of about 68800 yuan.

Bamboo rat farming has gone up to a large scale, and Xu Xiongneng has added classical chicken projects. at present, cooperatives mainly raise broiler, pig, bamboo rat, colorful pheasant and other characteristics, of which bamboo rat and classical chicken farmers account for about 70%.

The party committee and government of Pingshan Township attach great importance to the development of cooperatives, build bridges for cooperatives, win the project cooperation of Guangxi Red Cross Society and Qunli Village Committee, and strive to promote the development of the whole village and township industry and cover more poor households.

Today, the Yipin seed raising Professional Cooperative, represented by Xu Xiongneng, has grown from six members at the beginning of its establishment to 82 members, of which 76 poor households in Qunli village voluntarily joined the cooperative; 56 poor households mainly raised broiler chickens and bamboo rats; and the rest of the poor households mainly joined the cooperative with labor force, earning 600mur800 yuan per month according to the input labor force.

"our cooperative is to build a platform to develop the village aquaculture industry, form industrial farming, and lead the villagers to get rich together." Xu Xiongneng is full of confidence in the future.
