For many people, South American white shrimp is delicious, but for Xu Lijuan, South American white shrimp has changed her life. Dig shrimp ponds, purchase shrimp fry, choose feed. For the high profits of Penaeus vannamei, Xu Lijuan is like a strong girl, doing all kinds of work done by men. Although Xu Lijuan graduated from high school in 1979, she knows nothing about shrimp farming. So she went around to ask for advice on breeding techniques, but as a result, she still died as much as she raised, and lost more than 300,000 yuan in the first year.

In order to raise prawns well, Xu Lijuan visited shrimp farming enterprises inside and outside the province many times and often sought advice from well-known aquaculture experts nearby. At the same time, she eats and lives by the sea and does all the work by herself. Check the water quality, observe the shrimp seedling blight, turn on the aeration facilities. Whenever people are fast asleep at night, Xu Lijuan is still busy, visiting all the shrimp ponds every one and a half to two hours to make sure the shrimp seedlings are foolproof.

"the most important thing to raise shrimp is water quality." Xu Lijuan said, "now all the water quality of our farming has to be tested, and we must believe in science. In the past, when we were farmed, because we had no way to test, there was a large number of shrimp fry when they died. Now the PH value, nitrite, ammonia nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide and other four indicators in the water quality have to be tested. It is detected that if any index does not meet the requirements, the shrimp will die and cannot be farmed. "

Today, when it comes to the culture technology of Penaeus vannamei, Xu Lijuan is a treasure. She said that the feeding of Penaeus vannamei is very fastidious, feeding is not enough, there are no prawns that starve to death, only shrimps that are eaten to death. In addition, pond patrol is also very important, no matter day or night, every one and a half to two hours to patrol the pond, once the oxygen deficiency is found, oxygen should be increased immediately. Even if the aeration pump is broken, it should be repaired immediately overnight, otherwise all previous efforts will be wasted.

Where there's a will, there's a way. From the second year, Xu Lijuan can make money every year by raising Penaeus vannamei. Especially in the listing season, dealers will come to buy. The breeding went smoothly and there was no need to worry about sales, which made Xu Lijuan more confident about her original choice. At present, Xu Lijuan's shrimp pond area has expanded to 750 mu, and her shrimp farming has been exported to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Jiangsu, Shaoxing, Ningbo and other places, with annual sales reaching more than 6 million yuan. What is more gratifying is that she also helped six nearby villagers to carry out shrimp culture in South America.
