When the reporter asked what are the main problems in the development of China's moxa grass industry, Ji Kai believes that it is mainly concentrated in the following four aspects.

First, at present, the development of Artemisia argyi industry in China is extremely unbalanced. There are only two major industrial agglomeration areas of moxa grass in Qichun, Hubei Province and Nanyang, Henan Province, which leads to the situation that the supply of moxa grass falls short of demand in the areas with high brand degree, which leads to an increase in the price of moxa grass raw materials year after year.

Second, the large area of Artemisia argyi planting and large-scale planting are unevenly distributed, mainly concentrated in the two major Artemisia argyi industry agglomeration areas. In addition, other individual provinces and cities are still in the experimental period.

Third, there is no national standard for the cultivation of moxa grass, and there is a lack of unified evaluation index for the quality of moxa grass in different places. The national standards are in the blank period, and the local standards and industry standards are also in the exploration and preparation period.

Fourth, the edible moxa grass is lack of national standards, and moxa grass is not included in the category of medicine and food homology at present, which restricts the development of large-scale use of moxa grass in the food industry.

What other policies and measures are needed at the national level for the development of moxa industrialization? Ji Kai believes that, first of all, although moxa grass belongs to medicinal materials, compared with other traditional Chinese medicine, it is not a conventional medicine in the prescription of traditional Chinese medicine, and its greatest use is in the field of moxibustion, and with the four hot sessions of the International Conference on moxibustion, the national moxibustion and health preservation industry has shown great development, and the demand for moxa grass is also in a state of sharp increase.

Secondly, as a good medicine for doctors, Artemisia argyi has been dominated by the wild, and local governments do not pay enough attention to wild protection and large-scale planting.

Based on the above situation, we look forward to giving subsidies and policy support to moxa grass planting enterprises from the local government and national level in terms of land, seedling raising, acquisition, processing and production; in addition, we call on all localities to introduce policies to protect local native moxa grass and provide tax relief and interest-free loan support to Artemisia argyi production enterprises. Priority should be given to Artemisia argyi planting enterprises, such as national agriculture, tourism, traditional Chinese medicine and other multi-level subsidies.

Finally, Ji Kai said that it is expected that through the continuous convening of the World Artemisia Industry Conference, it can bring the following changes to the current situation of the moxa industry.

First, it is expected that the establishment and continuous holding of the World Artemisia argyi Industry Conference can change a relatively extensive state in which China's moxa grass industry is still in, and greatly prosper the moxa planting market, and then use the two-wheel drive of "industrial competition and industrial volume promotion" to accelerate the introduction of relevant moxa standards.

Second, it is expected that the continuous convening of the world moxa industry conference will lead more provinces to participate in the trend of moxa planting, and then greatly prosper the market of moxa grass raw materials.
