The Entrepreneurship Story of Wang Xiaochen, a post-80s boy in Baoqing County
Strawberries cost 100 yuan a jin! In Baoqing, this price is not a fantasy. During the Spring Festival in 2017, the shed strawberries of Wang Xiaochen, a post-80s boy in Gaojia Village, Baoqing Town, sold at this price.
Walking into the greenhouse, a large area of green seedlings is dotted with ruby strawberries, full of spring. Wang Xiaochen said that this is the place where he dreams of taking off.
Wang Xiaochen, 33, like other villagers a few years ago, planted some corn and soybeans every year, and his income from busy work did not increase year after year. He began to wonder how he could make more money. Wang Xiaochen's grandmother's home is in Donggang City, Liaoning Province. Before getting married, he often goes to his grandmother's house to play, and strawberry planting sheds can be seen everywhere. He felt that it was all in the north, and Liaoning could grow it, so could Baoqing, although it was colder than there, and there was a boiler in the greenhouse, so he came up with the idea of special planting.
Wang Xiaochen's idea was supported by his father. So he went to Liaoning alone and spent two years learning how to grow strawberries in the greenhouse. In 2015, Wang Xiaochen, who returned from his studies, raised in many ways and invested 320000 yuan to build a greenhouse of 1200 square meters.
Characteristic planting, focusing on the characteristics. Wang Hsiao-Chen feels that now we are all building organic, green, and pollution-free green agriculture, and strawberries can do the same. Wang Xiaochen bought more than 1400 strawberry seedlings for planting at one time. He collected cow dung and sheep dung from farmers' homes in the village and fermented them into natural farm manure; he drilled a well in the greenhouse and watered it with pure groundwater; he adopted ecological sterilization so that the survival rate of seedlings was about 95%; and put a box of bees in the greenhouse to pollinate naturally.
After hard work, near the end of the year, strawberries are on the market, priced at 50 yuan per jin! Wang Xiaochen used Wechat moments to promote, and one after another, citizens drove to the strawberry orchard to experience picking. In this way, the news spread that there was a pure green strawberry orchard in Gaojia Village. Wang Xiaochen earned about 200,000 yuan that year.
Wang Xiaochen calculated an account for us. He said: "the net income of growing food crops is up to 1000 yuan per mu, while strawberry greenhouse earns more than 200,000 yuan per mu of land in the first year. Farm manure is given free of charge by farmers in the village, which also solves the problem of stacking cow dung and sheep dung. Hire a few temporary jobs when planting seedlings, and the rest of the time, my wife and I plus my parents will be enough, and there is no delay in farming. "
Having tasted the benefits, Wang Xiaochen decided to expand the scale and invested more than 200,000 yuan in June 2016 to build a greenhouse to plant Zhang Ji varieties. Because of the experience, the construction of the second greenhouse has taken a lot of detours and saved a lot of money. Strawberries in the second shed yielded fruit in January 2017. with the Spring Festival approaching, strawberry sales became tight, and prices soared all the way to 100 yuan per jin. The strawberries in this shed earned Wang Xiaochen nearly 100000 yuan in three months. At present, the two sheds of strawberries are growing gratifying and fruitful, and the price of strawberries has stabilized to 35 yuan per jin after the end of the year.
In the course of the interview, I happened to meet a citizen who drove from Baoqing County to buy. Ms. Li said, "take the children to experience it today and buy some all-natural strawberries." At present, many fruits on the market are drugged, so they can't rest assured that they are eaten by children. This strawberry is on our own doorstep, so we can eat it naturally. "
Talking about his entrepreneurial experience, Wang Xiaochen said: "now we strongly advocate adjusting the planting structure and growing cash crops to increase income. I didn't expect that my entrepreneurial idea two years ago coincided with this direction of development. Since I started my business, the town, the village and the first secretary of the village have given me great help, enabling me to successfully take the first step of getting rich and increasing my income. "
Cheng Xuedong, first secretary of Gaojia Village, said: "Gaojia Village regards agricultural supply-side reform as an important starting point to increase farmers' income, leading to drive the development of characteristic industries, and farmers have found a way to get rich. In the next step, Gaojia Village is going to develop the cultivation of organic green strawberries into a characteristic industry in the village, turning it into a professional cooperative and driving more villagers to become rich.
