With the improvement of living standards and the transformation of consumption concepts, modern people pay more and more attention to health and health. Especially in today's food safety issues have been highly valued, pollution-free, green, organic food and so on gradually welcomed by consumers, many people do not hesitate to spend "high price" only to buy assured food.

Not long ago, the reporter saw a special product in Hebei Lianxing Jiayao Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd., it looks like a budding flower bud, smells like a faint fragrance, a time, the reporter actually can't tell whether this is a flower or a vegetable? It is understood that this is a European royal noble vegetable, originated from the Netherlands, scientific name chicory, known as the "vegetable prince", has been selling well in the European and American markets, also known as bud magnolia in China. So a listen, the reporter to this never seen variety produced more curiosity, this is exactly what kind of vegetable? What are the characteristics? The reporter interviewed Liu Xiujun, chairman of Hebei Lianxing Jiayao Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd.

What is Magnolia sprouts?

According to introduction, bud ball magnolia has long been a household name abroad, at present the Chinese market is not common, many consumers do not know. Liu Xiujun has visited Europe for many times. After repeated investigation, he introduced this variety from Holland in 2014 and gave it a beautiful name-Yulan bud.

"Jiayao Agriculture is currently the only enterprise in China that produces and supplies bud magnolia all year round, filling the gap in the Chinese market without bud magnolia, so that Chinese consumers can eat healthy vegetables originating in Europe without going abroad." Liu Xiujun said, Bud ball magnolia is a pollution-free vegetable after secondary growth, From sowing to harvest, The whole process does not use chemical fertilizer, Do not spray pesticide, Softening cultivation in a closed environment, Pollution-free, Pollution-free, Is a safe, high-quality, Healthy nutrition food.

Dutch vegetable varieties came to Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province from afar. In order to ensure the original taste, the enterprise copied the European planting technology and production technology in an all-round way, made a large amount of scientific and technological investment, built workshops, purchased equipment, and devoted itself to cultivation for one year. Liu Xiujun and his team finally made bud magnolia successfully land.

Liu Xiujun told reporters, Bud ball magnolia and ordinary vegetables different, More like greenhouse flowers, Precious delicate, Appearance delicate, Leaves golden yellow, So there is a resounding nickname_"Golden dish." Looking at the golden bud magnolia on the table, the reporter was full of curiosity, casually broke down a piece of direct taste, taste a little bitter, but fresh and delicious, very refreshing.

Born pollution-free

In the interview, the reporter learned that the bud magnolia is not only clean and beautiful in appearance, but also pure natural and pollution-free, all of which are mainly due to its growth environment. The process of bud Magnolia cultivation is complex and complicated, which can be divided into two procedures: field planting and secondary cultivation.

Liu Xiujun introduced that field planting is to obtain the roots used for cultivating vegetables, which is the basis for secondary cultivation. Moreover, all the nutrients of bud magnolia come from the roots, so field planting is very important. It starts to be sown every July and August and is harvested at the end of November. The growth period is 4 months. In order to ensure the quality, the yield per mu is controlled at 8000-10000 roots. Moreover, in the field planting process, due to the characteristics of vegetables themselves, no fertilizer is needed. Spraying pesticides. Liu Xiujun explained that this is mainly because the roots planted in the field themselves contain substances similar to bitters, roots and leaves are very bitter, insects do not like to eat at all, this is the characteristics of the product itself. The reporter broke the root from the middle, saw that there was yellow thick slurry oozing out inside, licked it with the tip of his tongue, bitter taste spread all over the mouth, really very bitter. "It is precisely because the roots are bitter that the vegetables cultivated also have a bitter taste." Liu Xiujun said.

Liu Xiujun told us that the most difficult place to plant in the field is in the sowing link. On the one hand, because the seeds of Magnolia are very small, the weight of a sesame is at least twice the weight of its seeds, which increases the difficulty of sowing. On the other hand, there are strict requirements for the depth of sowing, 5 mm is the most suitable, if buried too deep easy not to come out, buried too shallow and easy to dry, so after sowing to water as soon as possible. July and August are the hottest times of the year, so it is very important to take seedlings. In order to ensure accurate sowing, enterprises will adopt mechanical and manual operations to complete them. In addition, the soil for planting is preferably sandy loam with a pH value in the range of 6.5-7.5. Liu Xiujun stressed that as long as the seedlings grow out, the weather will be less affected, the rest is simple field management. The roots obtained at harvest vary in size and are classified according to thickness, but this does not affect the quality of the final product.

Year-round production

"Field planting is only the first step. The next step is to put the harvested roots directly into the cold storage at minus ten degrees Celsius for freezing and store them as raw materials for one year. After a month, you can start the second cultivation. At this time, according to the market demand, take out the corresponding amount of frozen roots and put them in the natural environment for thawing, about 10 days, and then put the thawed roots into the production tray of the production workshop for secondary cultivation. The cultivation period is about 23-28 days." Liu Xiujun said that because of this, we can guarantee the year-round production of bud magnolia.

"The secondary cultivation has very strict requirements for growth conditions. It requires three major elements: controllable temperature, controllable oxygen, and controllable humidity." Liu Xiujun introduced that in order to make bud magnolia more suitable for domestic environment, the enterprise has made some improvements on the basis of introducing foreign technology, including factory building, temperature control management, ventilation system, etc. In the cultivation process, first of all, fine roots and short roots are classified into production plates, each plate is about 0.8 square meters, and the vegetable yield is about 40 kg. After these production trays are installed, they are stacked to a height of 4 meters, and then water is added and adjusted to the appropriate temperature. Liu Xiujun stressed that the temperature control needs to be carried out according to different growth periods to raise and lower the temperature respectively, so as to keep the temperature in the workshop at about 20 degrees. Water is ordinary tap water, because the water we eat is alkaline, vegetables need acid water, so we need to adjust the pH of water, so vegetables grow very well. In addition, it should be noted that the temperature in the production workshop should be strictly controlled, and the temperature difference should not exceed 0.5 degrees, because the bud magnolia is scattered at the beginning and slowly wrapped up. If the temperature is not accurate, it cannot wrap the ball and will always open. In addition, oxygen content should be controlled.

In order to personally experience the cultivation process of bud magnolia, the reporter came to the secondary production workshop of bud magnolia, from the small door of the workshop into, a stream of hot air came, under the weak light of flashlight, the reporter saw a plate of vegetables growing in the water, that touch of gold in the dark, revealing vitality. LiuXiuJun told reporters, Secondary growth is the key link of the whole planting process, Put the root in the hydroponic box with domestic water for cultivation, Do not need any additives and nutrient solution, Depend on the root nutrients, After frozen root nutrients released out to grow into buds. This is also the peculiar thing about bud magnolia. Other vegetables need photosynthesis to synthesize and grow into products, while bud magnolia does not need natural photosynthesis at all and grows naturally in a pure dark environment. The reporter learned that it was precisely because of this growth environment that did not see the light that the bud magnolia grew out to be golden yellow. When exposed to light, vegetables undergo photosynthesis, the leaves turn green, and bitterness increases.
