Recently, the 2016 "China Gift" Brand Promotion Conference and the Fifth Council of the second session of China Etiquette and Leisure products were held in Beijing. Anxi County was awarded the title of "China Home Handicraft Industry Base".

At the brand promotion meeting, the China Federation of Light Industry and the China Etiquette and Leisure products Industry Association read out the decision to commend the characteristic area of "China Home Handicraft Industry Base". Zhang Chonghe, president of China Light Industry Federation, awarded the plaque of "Anxi, China Home Handicraft Industry Base" to Anxi County.

Anxi County is the hometown of rattan iron craft in China. After more than 40 years of development, from the initial "bamboo weaving" to "rattan iron weaving" and then to "rattan iron craft", Anxi County has now developed into a household craft industry. an industrial cluster with more than 400 enterprises, nearly 120000 employees and an annual output value of more than 12 billion yuan of the whole industrial chain has become the second largest livelihood industry after the tea industry, and has been awarded "the Capital of Chinese rattan Iron Craft" by the Ministry of Agriculture. Approved by the Ministry of Commerce as "China's rattan iron craft export base". In 2014, Anxi "Bamboo and Rattan Weaving skills" was selected into the national intangible cultural heritage representative project list. The products are exported to more than 60 countries and regions, accounting for half of the similar products in the country.

In recent years, Anxi County has continuously issued policies to guide household craft enterprises to strengthen technological innovation, develop new products, protect and encourage applications for design patents, and increase the promotion of collective brands and the cultivation and construction of independent brands. enhance brand awareness, enterprise competitiveness and industrial influence. At present, the county has set up a 1 million yuan innovation fund for the process industry, a 5 million yuan fund for the construction and development of the process industry, and other special support funds that give priority to new product development.

At the same time, Anxi County has also built a Chinese Home Craft City, which has become an important platform for household arts and crafts merchants to display brands and sell products domestically; four county-level professional research institutes and 16 company research institutes have been set up successively to recruit senior professional designers and graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts, and to devote themselves to the development of new product styles.
