Recently, dozens of villagers are busy planting rice seeds in the farmland of Chenjiawan Village, Suxian District. Since 2016, Chenjiawan Village has transferred 500 mu of land for rice seed production by means of "cooperatives + members + farmers", self-raised funds and state financial subsidies. After a year of construction preparations, infrastructure facilities such as machine tillage roads and irrigation and drainage channels are ready, and seed production of early and medium rice in a large area is now under way. Through seed production and providing excellent seeds for farmers, thousands of neighboring peasant households can increase their annual income by thousands of yuan. (photo by Li Jiano)
