Later, he traveled to seven or eight provinces and found that blue wheat had great potential for development.

According to the introduction of planting experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chen Yihua learned that blue wheat was developed by Zhou Zhongpu, a national color wheat expert, so he went to Xinxiang in Henan Province many times to visit the old man in Zhou Zhongpu. Later, the old man was moved by him and sold him more than 140 jin of blue wheat.

After taking the seeds home, Chen Yihua first asked members of the cooperative to plant more than 6 mu of blue wheat. Later, Chen Yihua introduced other varieties of wheat, including black wheat, brown wheat, super long spike wheat, super large spike wheat and so on.

Chen Yihua said: according to the market price, the price of ordinary wheat is 1.1 yuan per jin, while the price of colored wheat is 1.8 yuan per jin, which is 70 cents more than that of ordinary wheat. Planting colored wheat per mu can earn 700 yuan more.
