The most important pest in bean production is the heart worm, which has the advantages of concealed adult dispersion, large spawning range, large number of eggs, and difficult to control, which is one of the main reasons affecting the quality of beans. So how to control the bean drill beetle? Let's take a look.

1. Agricultural prevention and control

Before planting, it is necessary to dig deep into the soil, carry out pest control treatment, eliminate the overwintering insect sources on the soil, timely remove the fallen flowers and fruits in the field when insect pests occur, remove the damaged leaves and pods in time, bury them deeply, and eliminate insect eggs. reduce the source of insects. Water more in winter and spring to increase soil moisture, which can lead to the death of overwintering larvae in the soil. Improving a series of agricultural control methods can greatly reduce the harm of drillworms and increase the yield to a certain extent.

2. Strengthen the management of fertilizer and water

In the cultivation and management, the emergence of seedlings should be consistent and neat, so that the core worms can be eliminated when they blossom and bear pods. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the fertilizer and water management of beans, apply enough fertilizer at the flowering and pod stage, and properly remove some early or delayed buds, which can improve the plant resistance to diseases and insect pests and reduce the harm caused by drillworms.

3. Biological control

It can be sprayed with 500-fold liquid of cyanobacteria or borer-killing bacilli, or sprayed with 300-fold liquid of Beauveria bassiana, and the bacterial solution had better be used as soon as possible, so as to avoid the death of live spores in the liquid, resulting in weakening of efficacy, while Beauveria bassiana should be sprayed within two hours after liquid preparation. In the period of control, the larvae of the 2nd instar were best sprayed once every other week for several times in a row, and the effect was better.

4. Chemical control

Chemical control is a commonly used control technology, generally spraying the larvae in the bud before flowering, the spraying time is generally chosen in the sunny morning, this is the bud development period, when the liquid enters the bud and kills the larvae, the effect is better. After the flower fade, when the pod grows to about 10 cm, spraying 1-2 times can kill the newly hatched larvae or the young larvae that eat in the young pods.
