Sorghum bug, also known as sorghum bug, is distributed in most parts of China. It is mainly parasitic on sorghum, wheat, rice and other Gramineae plants. It harms adults and larvae and absorbs plant sap, resulting in yellowing leaves and slow growth. So how to control the sorghum bug? let's take a look at the detailed introduction.

Cross-band red bug: the insect is called Hemiptera, Pentatomidae. Distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia and so on. The host is cruciferous vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, rape, cabbage and so on. Adults and nymphs gather on the tender leaves to suck juice, causing the leaves to wither.

There are adults, eggs and nymphs in the insect state, which are harmful to adults and nymphs. Adults and larvae clustered in tender stems, melons, tender leaves and other parts, stabbed and sucked juice, and there were brown spots on the sucking place, which led to wilt in serious cases. Adults are afraid of strong light and eat more before 10:00 and after 5pm.

1. Occurrence of symptoms

It is harmful to adults and larvae, adults generally harm in May-June, larvae generally harm in April and July, larvae gather in the leaves after hatching, constantly sucking the juice of mesophyll tissue. The feeding capacity of larvae is less, and that of adults is large, which will form a withered spot on the leaves in a short time. With the increasing area of withered spots, the leaves will gradually wither and die, resulting in slow plant growth and serious lack of water. Great harm.

2. Occurrence regularity

It can give birth to two generations a year, and the adults overwinter in the underground stem, leaf sheath or under the topsoil. After the temperature rises in spring, it begins to recover, begins to spawn in early April, reaches its peak spawning period in early May, and begins to differentiate in early May. The first generation larvae appear and can grow into adults in about one month. The adults mate and lay eggs in late June, and the second generation larvae appear in July. In September, the second generation adults begin to overwintering, and so on.

3. Prevention and control methods

To control sorghum bug bugs, physical control should be combined with chemical control. First of all, the field should be cleared before planting, the disease and residual plants of last year should be cleaned up, the soil should be turned deep, and the sun should be used to kill overwintering adults and reduce the source of insects. When the first generation larvae occur, it can spray 1000 times of 80% dichlorvos EC or 90% crystal trichlorfon, 75 kg per mu, and the effect is better.

(1) Winter ploughing and cleaning of vegetable fields can eliminate some overwintering adults.

(2) artificial removal of egg mass.

(3) Pesticide control can be carried out during the peak period of adults and before the nymphs disperse, spraying 1000 times of 90% crystal trichlorfon or 50% phoxim EC, 2500 times of 2.5% cyhalothrin EC, 3000 times of 10% cypermethrin EC, 52.25% chlorpyrifos. Cypermethrin EC 1500 times, 667 square meters spray good solution 70kg.
