How to plant potted grass
Rabdosia angustifolia is a perennial herb of Sedum family, which can be used as medicine, and has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxification, removing dampness and detumescence. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is mainly used to treat damp-heat jaundice, gonorrhea, sore throat, eczema and oral ulcers. At present, it can be planted in most parts of our country, such as Fujian, Guizhou, Hunan, Zhejiang and so on. So today we will learn the planting techniques of drooping potted grass.
1. Soil improvement
Weeping potted grass has the characteristics of being warm, moist, adaptable, cold-tolerant, barren and slightly drought-tolerant. Generally, we will choose the land with loose soil and good drainage in the semi-shade area to plant. After selecting the planting land, plough at least 20 centimeters or more, dry the soil, apply about 3000 jin of stable fertilizer and turn it into the soil, fine leveling, ditching for border, ready for planting.
2. Scientific reproduction
There are also several propagation methods, such as seed propagation, cutting propagation and ramet propagation, but at present the most widely used methods are seed propagation and split propagation. Seed propagation can be planted all the year round, cutting propagation is best from early May to late August, and ramet propagation is between April and September each year. When planting, we should pay attention to the spacing of planting, generally the row spacing is ten centimeters, the plant spacing is about five centimeters.
3. Field management
In general, it will survive in about a week to a month after planting. Of course, there is a difference in the time for it to survive in different planting methods. In the process of grass growth, we should pay attention to ploughing and weeding, otherwise weeds will absorb nutrients and affect the growth of potted grass. At the same time, potted grass needs sufficient water, and it should be watered in time when Rain Water is less. and after each watering with ploughing and loosening the soil, this can avoid soil consolidation and affect soil permeability. When loosening the soil, we should pay attention to shallow ploughing as far as possible, so as not to damage the root system of potted grass. Finally, topdressing should be carried out in time, usually once in about half a month after planting, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, and then need to be topdressing according to the growth of potted grass, usually once a month.
4. Disease control
Although weeping potted grass has strong resistance, strong adaptability to the environment and simple planting, we should still pay attention to prevent the occurrence of diseases in the process of planting. What we know at present is that Botrytis cinerea, anthracnose, powdery mildew and so on are the most common diseases, so at the initial stage of the disease, we can use carbendazim, zinc benzoate and chlorothalonil to prevent them.
Many people may not understand it, because it is also rarely used in traditional Chinese medicine. But it is also a kind of succulent plant with high ornamental value, and its appearance is also very beautiful, which is very suitable for family breeding, which is also a starting point for the prospect of planting potted grass.
