Straw mushroom has high nutritional value and delicious taste, and is deeply loved by consumers. The output of straw mushroom in China ranks first in the world, and there are many growers. But the headache in planting is the harm of diseases and insect pests, they seriously affect the yield and quality of volvariella volvacea, endanger the production of volvariella volvacea, then how to control the diseases and insect pests of volvariella volvacea? Let's take a look.

1. Umbrella vulgaris

Flammulina velutipes is the most common miscellaneous bacteria in the cultivation process of volvariella volvacea, which will mainly compete with the hyphae of volvariella volvacea for water and fertilizer, resulting in a reduction in the yield of volvariella volvacea. It is divided into two kinds: Little Ghost Umbrella and Big Ghost Umbrella, the hyphae occur earlier and spread faster than volvariella volvacea, and form a mushroom bud before volvariella mushroom comes out. The disease opens the umbrella very quickly, releases a large number of violent walk, pollutes the mushroom body and affects the quality of volvariella volvacea.

Prevention and control methods: the culture material must be fresh, it should be strictly sterilized at high temperature, the water content should be controlled at about 70%, the mulch used for bacteria should be thoroughly disinfected, and the bacterial strains should be removed in time to avoid further spread.

2. Green mildew

Penicillium is the most serious disease in the cultivation of edible fungi, including Penicillium and Trichoderma viride. The colonies are white, dense and without fixed shape at the initial stage, and gradually turn green when the bacteria lag behind, which will pollute the straw mushroom body and cause large area death in serious cases.

Control methods: select fresh and sun-exposed culture materials, pay attention to control moisture (70%) and pH (between pH8.0-9.0), pay attention to ventilation during cultivation, so as to avoid excessive carbon dioxide concentration. After the occurrence of the disease, the germs should be dug up in time, and lime powder or carbendazim liquid should be sprayed around to prevent the bacteria from spreading.

3. Mushroom flies

Mushroom fly is mainly harmful to larvae, and its larvae feed on the hyphae and fruiting bodies of volvariella volvacea, which affects the normal growth and fruiting time, which will hinder the growth of fruiting bodies, lead to a decline in yield, and its adults will also spread other diseases.

Prevention and control methods: pay attention to the clean and hygienic cultivation environment, the occurrence of mushroom flies, can be sprayed or fumigated with aerosol, at the same time can be trapped and killed with yellow board, the effect is better.

4. Mushroom mite

Mushroom mites are invisible to the naked eye, and most of them occur in areas where the culture material is strictly disinfected or the environmental hygiene of the mushroom house is poor, so it is extremely difficult to prevent and cure. The mushroom house should be as far away from the warehouse, feed room and livestock house as possible, and the ingredients should go through secondary fermentation and disinfection. The mushroom room should be thoroughly disinfected and sterilized before cultivation, and should be sprayed or fumigated for 24 hours with acaricides such as dichlorvos and acaricidal alcohol. Timely measures should be taken to prevent the discovery of mushroom mites, dichlorvos can be put on the bottom material of the bed frame, cover the bed with plastic sheet, fumigate and poison the mushroom mites, or spray pyrethroid or propargite to kill mites.
