Split belly fish, also known as Qikou fish, is a special small fish in the Asian plateau region. Although this kind of fish is rare, its yield and nutrient content are not inferior to those of the best-selling fish on the market. At present, most of the split-bellied fish are mainly wild, with the increasing demand for it, then artificial culture has become an inevitable trend of its development. Today, what the editor wants to take you to understand is the artificial culture technology of split-bellied fish. If you are interested, you can further understand the split-bellied fish through the following article.

1. Pond preparation

Split-bellied fish has very high requirements for water quality, so the site selection and construction of ponds are very important before breeding. First of all, we should ensure that the water around the pond is adequate and the water quality is pollution-free, and the second is that the pond should be built into a running water type, so that we can imitate the natural river and create a wild-like environment for aquaculture. This can improve the survival rate of split-bellied fish. In addition, the water body in the pond should achieve the effect of natural exchange, that is to say, there must be out and in, and there is a certain oblique angle at the exit and entrance. Finally, the walls of the culture pond should be built into a smooth state, so as to avoid the bruising of fish. At the same time, we lay a layer of sand and gravel at the bottom of the pond, which can also play the role of purifying water quality and controlling water temperature.

2. Artificial propagation

The first step in artificial reproduction is to choose a good species of fish. The female species of split-bellied fish had better choose about one jin and four taels, while the male species had better be about one jin, and then observe the characteristics of males and females, and choose strong and robust ones. The second is to carry out the cultivation of parent fish, select excellent backup parent fish to be cultured in a special pool, and wait until the development of parent fish is completed, we can move on to the next link-artificial spawning. What we should pay attention to is that during the period from February to April, the water temperature should be controlled between 15 and 20 degrees, and then the parent fish are injected with hormones and put into the spawning pond for artificial insemination. Finally, after the completion of artificial insemination, we can hatch and produce fish. When we hatch, we have to keep the temperature at about 18 degrees, and the incubation time is about seven to ten days. At the same time, we also need to take measures to prevent water mildew, so as not to affect the hatching rate of fish eggs.

3. Fish fry cultivation

When the fry after the eggs hatch, it is also when they are the weakest. If we want to improve the survival rate of fry, then we must do a good job in fry cultivation and management. The first is the regulation and control of water temperature, which is generally kept between 15 and 20 degrees, and the second is that the flow speed in the culture pond should not be too fast. After waiting for about a week after the fry has completely fallen off the membrane, it needs to be fed. It is generally fed on egg yolk, six or seven times a day, one egg yolk per ten thousand tails, not too much. Wait until about seven days, we need to change the feed, usually choose soybean milk, and when 20 days later, we can carry on the normal feeding. During this period of time, we also need to observe the growth and health of fish fry, clean the culture pond every day, and disinfect the culture pond every week, so as not to cause harm to the growth of fish fry by diseases and insect pests.

4. Culture management

Culture management is the most critical stage to determine the yield and quality of split-bellied fish. first of all, we should raise fish fry in groups and reasonably control the feeding density of fish fry in the fish pond. The second is to feed earthworms and other fodder reasonably according to the size and feeding condition of fish fry. There is also the need to adjust the water quality and water level. by putting sand and gravel at the bottom of the pond, the oxygen content in the water can be increased. The water level is controlled at about 50 centimeters during the incubation period, and about 70 centimeters when the seedlings are first released. When it slowly grows in the later stage, the water level is generally no more than two meters. Finally, we should be prepared to prevent escape, theft and diseases and insect pests.

In fact, the artificial culture of split-bellied fish can be regarded as a very ecological and environmentally friendly culture technology, and the use of this culture technology for the cultivation of split-bellied fish, its product quality is also guaranteed, so if you are interested, you can seriously understand.
