Mangosteen can be said to be a kind of online celebrity fruit in the past two years, which is very popular in the market. It is a famous tropical fruit. At present, it is mainly grown in Taiwan, Fujian and Guangdong, where the climate is relatively mild all the year round. Its fruit is edible, and the peel can be processed into dye. As mangosteen has a relatively high demand for planting conditions, let's first understand several problems that need to be paid attention to in its planting. Let's take a look.

1. Soil

The soil selection of mangosteen is very important, and it is very strict to the soil. Generally speaking, the soil covered by planting should be relatively fertile; the second is that the water resources near the planting land should be rich and the water quality is not polluted; and the traffic conditions, water and electricity conditions near the planting land are good, and the terrain is relatively gentle, preferably a gentle slope of about 15 to 20 degrees; finally, the soil is slightly acidic, and the pH value is generally between 5 and 6, which is rich in organic matter.

2. Moisture

In the process of planting, pay attention to the supply of water. In order to ensure the normal growth of mangosteen, when planting mangosteen, we should do a good job of watering correctly, at the same time, we should pay attention to that the water should not be too much, and the phenomenon of stagnant water is strictly prohibited, otherwise mangosteen trees are very easy to get sick. So when the rainy season, we should timely dredge the ditch for drainage, so as to reduce the incidence of mangosteen.

3. Lighting

Mangosteen is very sensitive to light, especially mangosteen seedlings. In general, mangosteen seedlings are suitable to grow under low light conditions. if the light intensity is too high, it is likely to hurt the branches and leaves and affect the growth of mangosteen seedlings. So if the light intensity is too large, we need to build a shade, but still to maintain a certain light transmittance, can not use an all-shade shade. Finally, after the mangosteen grows slowly, it can appropriately enhance the light intensity, which is more conducive to the growth of mangosteen.

4. Density

The planting density is mainly a problem of field permeability. If the planting is too dense, the light transmittance and ventilation in the field will become weaker, which will lead to a stuffy phenomenon in the field, which can easily lead to some unnecessary diseases and insect pests. Mangosteen production is reduced. Then when we plant mangosteen, we should grasp the density of mangosteen planting. Generally, the row spacing should be controlled at about six meters and the plant spacing should be controlled at about four meters. We can generally plant 28 mangosteen per mu. Of course, we can also adjust the planting density scientifically according to the fertility of the soil, topography and so on.

5. Nutrients

Nutrient supply is the key to the growth and high yield of mangosteen. Generally speaking, in the first two years after mangosteen planting, the types and rules of fertilization are the same in these two years, and topdressing is needed about three to four times a year. In the third year, the fertilizer species of mangosteen changed to a certain extent, it needs to be fertilized according to the different nutrient needs of mangosteen in different growth periods, and increase or decrease the amount of fertilizer.

That's all the editor is going to introduce to you today. Due to the limited time and energy, the editor just briefly introduced some mangosteen fertilizer needs here. If you want to know more about the fertilization technology, please remember to leave us a message.
