Zinzinnia generally refers to zinnia, which is an annual herb. Zinnia, which originated in Mexico, is a famous ornamental plant, but also a kind of traditional Chinese medicine. It is planted in all parts of our country, and even wild zinnia exists in many places. So do you know how to grow 100-day herbs? Today, the editor has brought you the cultivation techniques of zinnia. Let's have a look.

1. Daejeon dressing and finishing

It has the characteristics of warmth, cold tolerance, sunshine, fear of heat, strong resistance, drought tolerance, barren tolerance and so on. It is suitable for planting in fertile and deep soil. There is no continuous cropping, no rotation with Compositae plants. Deep ploughing the land, smashing the clods, turning them together with base fertilizer during soil preparation, and mixing the soil fertilizer well. Finally, the ground is leveled and ditched. Generally, the ditch is about 20 cm deep and 20 cm wide. The distance between the ditch and the ditch is about one meter, and the ditch blends with each other. Finally, the border surface is leveled and planting can be carried out.

2. Methods of reproduction

The way of propagation of zinnia is generally seed propagation and cutting propagation. Seed propagation requires strict treatment before sowing, which can enhance the resistance of the plant. It is generally chosen to sow seeds during the period from the beginning of April to the end of June each year. The seeds need to be soaked in potassium permanganate for about half an hour, then removed and washed with clean water. Dry water is placed at a temperature of about 22 degrees Celsius to accelerate germination. Sowing can be carried out in three to five days. Generally, seedlings can emerge about five to ten days after sowing. During this period, the main moisture and temperature should be managed so as not to affect the emergence of zinnia. The growth rate of cutting propagation is still relatively fast, but it is not as neat as seed sowing. We usually choose about ten centimeters of robust seedlings for cutting, usually taking root in a week or so.

3. Field management

In the process of growing zinnia, we first need to plant, whether it is cutting propagation or seed propagation, we need to plant according to the distance of 50 cm between rows and 40 to 45 cm between plants. Secondly, in the growth process of zinnia, it is necessary to pick the heart, promote the growth of lateral branches, increase the yield of zinnia, and at the same time play the role of dwarfing plants. There is to carry out scientific water and fertilizer management, generally in the planting time to apply an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer, and a watering, in the later stage, according to the growth of zinnia to carry out topdressing and watering, if the plant is relatively thin, and the leaves appear yellowing phenomenon, then it is malnutrition, then fertilizer is needed.

4. Disease and pest control

The main diseases of hundred-day grass are white spot, black spot (brown spot) and mosaic disease. White spot mainly harms the leaves of hundred-day grass, while black spot and mosaic disease do harm to the whole plant in varying degrees. Then we can use Bordeaux liquid plus sulfur powder and carbendazim wettable powder to prevent and cure these diseases. On the other hand, mosaic disease can only be avoided by strengthening field management. at the same time, when diseased plants are found, they should be uprooted in time, and the planting holes should be disinfected to reduce bacterial infection.

This kind of medicinal herb is actually very common in our life, and in most cases, we can see it in parks or in many greening construction species, which is mainly the embodiment of its ornamental value. I believe that the planting prospect and market prospect of zinnia will become better and better in the future.
