Wild chrysanthemum is a perennial herb of Compositae, similar in appearance to chrysanthemum, with high ornamental value, distributed all over China. Moreover, wild chrysanthemum also had various functions such as dispersing wind-heat, detumescence and detoxification, and its medicinal value was also very high. Because of its high nutritional value, artificial cultivation has gradually begun in China. So how should wild chrysanthemum be planted? The following small series brings you the planting technology of wild chrysanthemum. Let's take a look together!

1. Land selection and preparation

Wild chrysanthemum has strong growth ability, can adapt to various soils quickly and grow normally, but different soils will have different effects on wild chrysanthemum. Poor soil quality will reduce the stress resistance of wild chrysanthemum plants, flowering rate will also decline. Therefore, in order to ensure the benefit of artificial planting, we should try our best to choose soil with sufficient fertility, soft permeability and strong fertilizer retention ability when planting wild chrysanthemum. After selecting the soil, turn it at least 25 cm deep, disinfect it, improve soil fertility, eliminate pests and diseases, and then apply sufficient decomposed farm manure as base fertilizer.

2. Reproductive methods

Wild chrysanthemum propagation method is mainly based on cuttage propagation, every year in mid-May around the time, in the robust growth of old trees to choose about 5 cm long shoots. Then remove about 2/3 of the leaves on the branches, and put the cutting base into potassium permanganate for disinfection for about a quarter of an hour. Rooting agent can also be applied appropriately, if not, then do not apply. Then insert the shoot vertically into the seedbed to a depth of about half of the shoot. After cuttage, newspaper soil should be moist, new lipid membrane should be sprayed appropriately to avoid excessive evaporation of water, reduce the incidence of diseases and insect pests, and then do a good job of shading, about 2 weeks will survive.

3. Field management

After the cuttings survive, do a good job of management, control the time for timely planting, irrigate enough root fixing water after planting, and combine it with diluted excrement water. Pay attention to the dosage. The dosage of diluted excrement water is about 1600 kg/mu. And in the late harvest every time you need to carry out a water and fertilizer work, if it is continuous cultivation. Then in winter, after the ground part withers, we should cut off the stems in time, apply enough winter fertilizer, and do a good job in cultivating the soil. Help wild chrysanthemum successfully winter, promote spring germination. Then we should pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, intertill weeding and other work to ensure the growth environment of wild chrysanthemum.

4. Reasonable seed retention

When planting, some plants should be properly reserved for seed use. In summer, it can not be harvested, let it grow freely, and when necessary, appropriate topdressing should be applied to improve the flowering and seed setting rate of the plant and improve the yield of seeds. When the winter seeds mature, prune the plant flowers. Then the flowers are dried, the seeds are taken out, and the harvested plants are not treated and allowed to winter in the soil. In the early spring of the following year, the new shoots can be harvested and sold on the market.

The above is a simple introduction to wild chrysanthemum planting technology, wild chrysanthemum planting is actually very simple, planting time to do basic management work can be done. And the incidence of wild chrysanthemum diseases and insect pests is not high, so management is not troublesome. Today's introduction is here. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you!
