Snail is actually a kind of field snail, there are snails in all parts of our country, especially in Zhejiang, Zhejiang people's love of snails is very high. At present, snails have become a very popular snack or a delicacy on the table in many parts of our country. With the increase of market demand, there are fewer and fewer snails in the wild, so artificial breeding of snails has become a direction of the development of aquaculture. But do you know what problems you should pay attention to when raising snails? Let's take a look at it next.

1. Snail species selection

The selection of snail planting is a basic condition for the success of snail culture. In fact, many novice farmers don't know much about snails, so they can't tell which kind of snail is of high quality when they choose to grow snails, which is easy to be deceived and cause great losses. In fact, when we choose to grow snails, we need to choose snails that are free from diseases and insect pests, have no damage to all parts of the body, look strong, suitable for local growth, and have a relatively uniform size.

2. Pond cleaning

Many people have seen the environment where wild snails grow and feel that it is unnecessary to clean up the pond. But in fact, this is not the case, and it is precisely because of this that there are fewer and fewer snails in the wild, and the reproductive capacity will be further degraded. Then we need to pay attention to the need to clean up the excess mud before breeding, then disinfect it with quicklime, and then release snails after disinfection is completed. In addition, in the later stage of culture, the pond needs to be cleaned and disinfected properly, so as to ensure the quality of snail growth.

3. Water quality regulation

The regulation of water quality in snail culture is very important. The water of snail farming should be more fertile, so we should reasonably control the supply of fertilizer. The second is to change the water regularly to ensure that the water quality is suitable for the normal growth of snails. Especially during the breeding period of snails, the influence of water quality on its reproduction is very great, and when the summer temperature is high and the winter temperature angle is high, we should adjust the water temperature scientifically, which is conducive to promoting the growth of snails. Finally, the water level of snail culture should not be too deep, generally the highest is not more than 40cm and the lowest is not less than 20cm. Another point is to properly adjust the PH value of the aquaculture water body, basically adding some quicklime to neutralize the pH of the water body every half a month.

4. Bait and feed

Snails are omnivorous, so we can first put in an appropriate amount of fertilizer, which can increase the plankton in the water and provide snails with long-term food. Secondly, they mainly feed on plants and algae in deep water. When we feed them, we usually feed vegetables, melons and fruits, animal offal, vegetable cakes, and so on, but we must not feed inferior or deteriorating fodder. And we should clean up the feed residue in time to avoid water pollution. In addition, it can not be fed with the whole during feeding, it should be chopped and fed, and each feeding should be carried out according to the specific conditions of the snail. The frequency of feeding should not be too frequent, preferably once every two days.

Many people have raised snails, or have seen snails growing in some places, but sometimes what we see is not necessarily reliable, so we still have to breed according to professional farming techniques. Of course, everyone must have their own breeding tips in the process of breeding. If you can, you can leave a message below and share with us.
