The cultivation method of Ziwei
Speaking of crape myrtle, you may think of crape myrtle in the pearl grid. In fact, crape myrtle is a very famous flower in our country. It has a wide range of distribution in various provinces in China, mainly concentrated in tropical provinces. And crape myrtle wood is very hard, can be used to make furniture, farm tools, and so on, and crape myrtle also has heat-clearing and detoxification, blood stasis and other effects. So how to plant crape myrtle? Now let the editor introduce to you the planting method of crape myrtle.
1. Land selection and preparation
Crape myrtle likes to grow in places with sufficient light and drought, with strong cold and drought tolerance and strong growth adaptability. It can grow normally in most soils, but if we want to plant on a large scale, we still have to choose a slightly acidic soil that is fertile, thick and soft, and is being rubbed by drainage and irrigation. Suitable soil can prolong the florescence of crape myrtle and improve the ornamental value of crape myrtle. After selecting a good site, it is necessary to do a good job of soil preparation and rake it deep and fine about 26cm to improve the permeability of the soil. Then apply enough farm manure and appropriate amount of calcium superphosphate, control the amount of fertilization according to the planting area, and finally flatten the bed to prepare for planting.
2. Sowing seeds at the right time
The flowering period of crape myrtle is about 3 months, which takes a long time, and flowers and fruits grow together. Around October, the fruit is picked, the seeds are taken out of the fruit, dried and stored in a container. Sprouting and disinfection should be done before sowing, and the seeds should be soaked in potassium permanganate solution for about 2 days and cleaned. Then soak it in warm water of about 48 degrees for about 3 days, and then dry it after soaking. Then according to the planting area, weather and other timely sowing, sowing covered with fine soil, watering enough water, about two weeks later can be emergence.
3. Water and fertilizer management
Keep the soil moist in winter and spring and water twice a day after the temperature rises in summer. when there is a lack of water, you can appropriately increase the watering frequency every day to prevent crape myrtle from dying. Crape myrtle needs more nutrition in its growth, but its fertilizer tolerance is not high. Excessive fertilization will easily lead to the growth of crape myrtle, reduce its permeability and affect the growth of crape myrtle. However, the amount of fertilizer application should not be too small, otherwise it will easily lead to insufficient nutrition, delicate branches, withered and yellow leaves, reduced growth, reduced flowering rate, and even unable to blossom, seriously reducing the ornamental value. Therefore, we should apply fertilizer reasonably, apply more fertilizer in spring and summer and other peak growing season, and control the application of fertilizer in the other two seasons.
4. Field management
Crape myrtle has a strong growth ability, so it is relatively simple to manage, but when we plant, we should pay attention to cut off the old withered branches, disease and insect pests and other weak branches that are not conducive to growth, and burn them. And in order to prolong the flowering period of crape myrtle, the branches that have already flowered should be cut off to promote the growth of sprouts and branches. If you want to focus on the cultivation of tree trunks, then cut off most of the flower branches and concentrate nutrients on the trunk. And the growth of crape myrtle has a great demand for light, and good pruning can also improve the ability of light transmission. We also need to pay attention to providing sufficient light for crape myrtle to promote its growth.
The above is a brief introduction to the planting methods of crape myrtle, the growth ability of crape myrtle is relatively strong, but in order to improve the ornamental value of crape myrtle, we should pay attention to do a good job in field management, enhance the growth ability of crape myrtle, and protect our planting benefits. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
