Bai Wei, also known as Laojun must, know micro-old, is an erect perennial herb, the rhizome can be used as medicine, with the effect of eliminating deficiency and annoyance, clearing away heat and swelling, myogenic pain, and high medicinal value. At present, there is a lack of market resources, and planting it has considerable economic benefits, so how to plant Baiwei? Let's take a look.

1. Land selection and preparation

Bai Wei likes a warm and humid climate, cold-resistant, and does not have high requirements for soil, but if she wants to achieve high yield, it is suitable for sandy loam soil with good drainage, loose and fertile soil and rich in humus. In the winter of the first year, the soil should be turned 20-30 cm deep to make the soil differentiate and mature fully, plough again 15-20 days before sowing, and apply base fertilizer according to the fertility of the soil. Shaping rake flat to do high border, require border width 2 film, border ditch width 30 cm, border height 20 cm, seedling bed to intensive cultivation.

2. Methods of reproduction

Baiwei is generally propagated by seeds, which can be divided into direct seeding and seedling transplanting, generally using about 3-5 jin per mu. The direct seeding is generally carried out before and after the Qingming Festival, using the way of strip sowing, trenching is opened on the border surface according to the row spacing of 25-30 cm, and the ditch depth is 3-4 cm. The seeds are evenly scattered into the ditch and watered by covering the soil. If the temperature is suitable, seedlings can emerge in about half a month. Seedling transplanting is the same as direct seeding, sowing in spring and trenching on the border surface, but the row spacing is 5-10 cm. The seeds are evenly sown in the ditch, covered with soil and watered. When the seedlings grow to 10 cm, they are transplanted to the field.

3. Field management

Whether it is direct seeding or seedling transplanting, the phenomenon of seedling squeezing will inevitably occur after the seedling is unearthed. In order to ensure the neat growth of the seedling, it is necessary to have time for the seedling. After transplanting survived, it is necessary to loosen the soil and weed in time, so as to prevent weeds from seizing nutrients and growth space, affecting the growth of seedlings, and pay attention to not being too deep when loosening the soil, so as to avoid damage to the roots of seedlings. It should be watered in time during drought, but drainage measures should be taken in the rainy season to avoid root rot, and topdressing 1-2 times from June to August to promote plant growth. After flowering, if there is no need to leave seeds, the flower stem can be cut off, concentrate nutrients and roots, and increase the yield.

4. Diseases and insect pests

Baiwei is a wild plant with strong vitality and high resistance to the environment, so there are few diseases and insect pests when planting, but root rot is easy to occur in the high temperature and rainy season, so it should be drained in time in the rainy season. In summer, we should pay attention to aphids. When aphids are harmful, we can spray dimethoate EC to control it, and the effect is better.
