There are new ways to cultivate volvariella volvacea in summer.
Volvariella volvacea is the only high-temperature fast-growing variety of edible fungi. Its cultivation materials are mainly straw and wheat straw, which taste delicious and rich in nutrition. The summer cultivation techniques are described as follows:
Mushroom bed preparation Mushroom beds are arranged in plastic greenhouses, covered with film and straw mats for heat preservation and moisture preservation. Mushroom bed width 1 meter, length is not limited, mushroom bed spacing 30 cm, both can be used as sidewalks, but also can be used as water storage ditch. Dig a concave mushroom bed horizontally on the ridge, the width of the mushroom bed is 30cm, the depth is 20cm, small soil ridges of 20cm are reserved between the mushroom beds, and 0.2% dichlorvos and 0.1% carbendazim are sprayed into the mushroom bed to kill insects.
Straw treatment cut straw or wheat straw into 3 cm long pieces, soak in 2% lime water and 0.5% compound fertilizer for 24 hours, remove excess water and set aside.
The culture age of straw mushroom selected should not exceed 18 days, and the best one is the one with strong hyphae and brown chlamydospores.
The cultivation method comprises the following steps of: uniformly spreading straw sections or wheat straw sections in a dug mushroom bed, spreading a layer of straw sections, spreading a layer of bran and a layer of strains, wherein the bran dosage is 5 percent, the strain dosage is 10 percent, the uppermost layer of strains is slightly more, then spreading soil on a small soil ridge on the material surface, wherein the height of the soil ridge is 10 - 12 centimeters, and compacting the culture material by using a wood board. After the culture material is put on the bed, a small arch shed is erected transversely along the mushroom bed. The arch shed is about 50 cm high and covered with thin film for heat preservation. The water storage ditch between the ridges shall be filled with water, the relative humidity in the greenhouse shall not be lower than 80%, and the temperature shall not be lower than 28℃. After 48 hours, the film on the small arch shed can be opened for ventilation.
The management after fruiting generally takes 9~10 days from sowing to budding, and can be harvested 3~4 days after budding.
Management after mushroom picking Do not spray water after mushroom picking, cover with film for two days to restore mycelium growth, and then continue to carry out mushroom management. Spray 0.1% urea aqueous solution once before each mushroom to promote the growth of straw mushroom.

Key points of cultivation techniques of volvariella volvacea
Volvariella volvacea has delicate meat and delicious taste. Because it is a high-temperature edible fungus, it is on the market at the height of summer, which is the off-season of other mushrooms and vegetables, so it is favored by consumers. The production method of volvariella volvacea is simple, and the production cycle is short (10-20 days). It is a kind of mushroom with low cost and high benefit. The main points of cultivation techniques of volvariella volvacea are introduced as follows: first, the optimum temperature for mycelial growth of volvariella volvacea in cultivation season is 28 ℃ ~ 38 ℃. The optimum temperature for fruiting body growth was 28 ℃ ~ 33 ℃.

Straw mushroom, also known as orchid mushroom, is one of the more common fungus varieties cultivated in China. Straw mushroom contains Vc and many kinds of amino acids, which is rich in nutrition and unique in flavor. It is a variety with short production cycle, quick effect, low investment and high benefit. In the hot summer, fresh mushroom varieties are rare in the market, and straw mushrooms can not only adjust the supply of off-season mushrooms in the market to meet the growing needs of people, but also export to earn foreign exchange after deep processing. Straw mushroom is a saprophytic fungus, which can only grow by absorbing ready-made nutrients and water from dead plants and soil.
