It was introduced to the Netherlands in the 16th century and was designated as the national flower of the Netherlands. There is a saying in the Netherlands that "rich people are not really rich without tulips". At that time, a precious flower head was worth 100 pounds, almost the price of a villa. Dumas, a famous French writer, wrote a legendary novel Black Tulips, praising the flowers as "too gorgeous to open their eyes and too perfect to breathe." This put a layer of romantic color on the tulips, and then swept Europe and the United States with its natural beauty, elegance and luxury.

Tulip has a wide variety, different colors and unique flower patterns. It is a very precious spring flower, no matter potted, courtyard planting, or cut flower vase, it is very beautiful and moving. For example, when planting spring flowers in pieces, the colorful flowers are outstanding and refined among the fragrant flowers, and their bright colors make the spring more beautiful. After the Guanghan Tulip Flower Festival in 1993, tulips formed an upsurge of planting and exhibition in our country, and all received good social and economic benefits.

Tulips like cold, cool and humid climate can withstand the low temperature of minus 20 degrees, and the suitable humidity for growth is 9-18 degrees. The growing period is 45-65 days, the planting month can be calculated according to the time of the Spring Festival, and the flowering period is 15-20 days. From May to June, the stems and leaves are withered and yellow, and the fresh bulbs are dug up and sowed after autumn. The cultivation of tulips should choose fertile sandy loam soil rich in humus. After budding, compound fertilizer can be used when the first leaf is dispersed. Promote the growth of stems and leaves once. In the bud stage, the second fertilizer was applied in combination with irrigation, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, to promote the stout flower branches and bright flower color, and the third topdressing was carried out after anthesis, mainly compound fertilizer, in order to promote the development of new balls. 2-3 plants can be planted in each pot depending on the size of the flowerpot, and the varieties that do not need flower color can be planted in one pot, and the ornamental effect is better. Attention should be paid to: no matter in the early or later stage, if the temperature is too high. All of them will cause poor plant growth and affect flowering. The soil that has planted chrysanthemums should not plant tulips any more.
