The yield increased by 23.3% and 21.5% compared with the control. In 1996, we participated in the production experiment of new potato varieties in Ningxia. The yield of fresh potato was 30099kg/hm2, which was 24.1% higher than that of the control.

Since 1994, all counties and relevant provinces in our region have been introduced and planted one after another, and the area has expanded rapidly. before examination and approval, the planting area has reached 350000 mu in 1997 and 58780 km2 in 2000, accounting for 51% of the total potato sown area in the whole area. it has basically realized a variety renewal, and the planting area in other provinces has also reached 39400 hm2, with a cumulative planting area of 187000 hm2. The output of fresh potato increased by 855.765528 million kg, and the output value increased by 284 million yuan. In the same year, the achievement won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Ningxia District. In 2001, the planting area of our district was further expanded.

Characteristic plant growth potential is strong, plant type erect, plant height 6Om, luxuriant growth, stout stem, main stem branches 2 to 4, adult leaves light green, more hairy, medium compound leaves, apical leaflet ovoid; 5 tubers per plant, average tuber weight 0.556kg per plant, tubers concentrated and large and neat; tubers oblong, skin and flesh are white, bud eyes are deep. The content of dry matter in tuber is 21.29%, crude starch 18.97%, protein 2.01% Magneto Vc15.03mgshock 100g; growth period about 110d; resistance to mosaic, leaf roll virus and ring rot, black cavity disease, late blight; drought resistance, storage resistance.

High yield: the yield of fresh potato per hectare planted in a large area is generally above 24000kg, which is more than 20% higher than that of the control. High starch content: the starch content of fresh potato is 18.97%, which is more than 2.77% higher than that of the varieties planted in the original production. Good processing quality: according to the processing research of Xiji County starch Corporation, this variety is the only variety planted in a large area in our region that can be used to process synthetic powder (whole powder). Compared with the original variety, the starch viscosity is increased by 20% to 30%, and the whiteness is higher than 90%. The pigment extraction process can be saved and the economic benefit is very remarkable. Wide adaptability: it is not only suitable for planting in large areas in Ningxia, but also outstanding in Dingxi, Pingliang, northern Shaanxi and western Inner Mongolia, and the area is also expanding rapidly.
