Water Management measures of "three rows and three Irrigation" for Rice

Last Updated: 2024/11/05, One, three and one row: from the critical tillering stage to the tip stage of the second leaf (20 days before heading), the field should be drained to control the growth of ineffective tillers. The grass seedlings should grow vigorously, and the fields with dark green leaves, fertile fields and cold-soaked fields should be heavily exposed to promote the fading of their leaves; for the fields with poor growth of grain seedlings and thin fields, the fields with low groundwater level should be exposed to the sun for many times, and the best degree is not to sink the feet in the field. The second row: the second drainage was carried out from 5 to 7 days before heading to the heading stage, so as to improve the root activity and enhance the nutrient absorption capacity of rice roots.

The first row: from the critical tillering stage to the exposed tip stage of the second leaf (20 days before heading), the field should be drained to control the growth of ineffective tillers.

The second row: the second drainage was carried out from 5 to 7 days before heading to the heading stage in order to improve the root activity and enhance the nutrient absorption capacity of rice roots.

Third row: after rice enters the yellow ripening stage, immediately draining and drying the field is beneficial to reduce the water content of grain, promote the early maturity of rice grain, improve the quality and yield of rice, and facilitate rice harvest and threshing.

Second and third irrigation

One irrigation: in the critical period of rice transplanting to effective tillering. Irrigation should be carried out frequently in shallow water to maintain a water layer of 2 cm to 3.3 cm in the field. For the fields or lake fields and cold-soaked fields with excessive application of organic manure (green manure, straw fertilizer, etc.), in order to prevent stiff seedlings, they can dry naturally after transplanting and irrigate with shallow water 3-4 days after open field, so as to reduce the harm of toxic substances to rice roots and prevent rice from becoming green and late ripening.

Second irrigation: from the second leaf dew tip stage to the definite period of rice spikelet number (5-7 days before heading), the lack of water will reduce the number of grains per panicle. Therefore, the rice should be rewatered immediately from the second leaf dew tip stage to the rice floret stage, and keep the shallow water layer in the field to the number of spikelets on a regular basis.

Third irrigation: during the period from heading to yellow maturity, the shallow water in the rice field should be kept in order to reduce the temperature, reduce the harm of high temperature to rice and reduce the harm of cold dew wind. After entering the filling stage, in order to prevent premature senescence, the gap irrigation method can be adopted, that is, shallow water can be irrigated with shallow water for 2 days to make it dry and wet alternately, so as to achieve the purpose of root maintenance and leaf protection.
