Last Updated: 2024/09/20, Hybrid rice K you 926 was developed by Rice Sorghum Research Institute of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1993 using K17A (identified) bred by the institute and Luhui 926. In 1995, Chongqing Agricultural Technology extension Station and Chongqing seed Station were jointly introduced into our city. The average yield per mu of medium rice plus ratooning rice in 1996, 1998 and 1999 was 3.36% higher than that of Shanyou 63, which was 3.36% higher than that of Shanyou 63 in 1995-1999 in Jiangjin, Changshou, Qijiang and Jiulongpo District of our city.

The average yield per mu of medium rice plus ratooning rice in 1996, 1998 and 1999 was 3.36% higher than that of Shanyou 63, which was 3.36% higher than that of Shanyou 63. From 1995 to 1999, a total of 5300 mu was demonstrated in 14 districts and counties (cities), including Jiangjin, Changshou, Qijiang and Jiulongpo District. The per unit yield of medium rice was slightly lower than that of Shanyou 63, and the yield of ratooning rice was significantly higher than that of Shanyou 63.

The whole growth period of K you 926 is 3 days shorter than that of Shanyou 63, the plant height is about 110cm, the plant type is compact, the total leaves of the main stem are 16, the ear length is about 25cm, the average spike is about 130grains, the seed setting rate is about 85%, the 1000-grain weight is 29g, and the regeneration ability is strong. Lemma apex awnless, glume tip red. The mature color is good in the later stage, and there is no secondary grouting. According to the inspection and testing center of rice and products quality supervision and testing of the Ministry of Agriculture, brown rice rate, milled rice rate, grain length, alkali elimination value, amylose content, protein, length ratio and gel consistency reached the standard of high quality rice, chalkiness rate 44%, chalkiness 8.1%, transparency grade 3. The taste evaluation of rice in Chongqing shows that the rice is transparent and white, the fragrance is soft and palatable, and the comprehensive evaluation of rice quality is good. It is more resistant to rice blast and light to sheath blight.

This variety belongs to medium indica late ripening panicle and its tillering ability is moderate. The seed amount of 1.5Kg per mu is about 18000 per mu, and 2 grain seedlings are planted in each mu. The method of fertilizer application after promoting moderate stability is adopted.

In view of the fact that K you 926 has moderate growth period, good rice quality and balanced high yield of two crops, especially the stable and high yield of ratooning rice, it should be mainly planted in the area below 350 meters above sea level for medium rice + ratoon rice cultivation. Secondly, it can be arranged to develop high quality rice in low mountainous areas.

Because of its compact plant type, the panicle of the combination is smaller than that of Shanyou 63, the 1000-grain weight of the combination is higher than that of Shanyou 63, and its other characteristics are similar to those of Shanyou 63.
