There is no specific detoxification therapy for the disease, and vomiting, gastric lavage, diarrhea and symptomatic treatment are used. It is forbidden to feed pigs with iron amaranth.

5. Grey vegetable poisoning

Chenopodium is commonly known as gray vegetables and strips, and its toxic ingredient is volatile oil, which mainly harms pigs. The diseased pigs showed depression, loss of appetite, head shaking, screaming, excitement, photosensitivity of unpigmented skin, slight redness, swelling and itching of the skin behind the ear and back and ventral side, weakness of limbs in the later stage, walking and swaying, shortness of breath, lying on the ground, and serious death. At present, there is no specific detoxification therapy, generally using vomiting, gastric lavage, diarrhea and symptomatic treatment.
