High yield, disease resistance and high quality sesame-Zhongzhi 12
Zhongzhi 12 was bred by Oil crop Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences with sesame variety "CLSU-9" introduced from abroad as female parent and "Yiyangbai" as male parent through multi-generation directional selection. It was approved by Hubei crop Variety approval Committee in 2003.
Characteristics: the variety is single-culm type, each leaf axil three flowers, capsule four-angled. The plant is taller, the plant height is generally about 160 cm, the height can reach more than 2 meters. The leaves are green, the leaves are larger, the petioles are longer, and the stems are bluish yellow when they mature. The number of capsules per plant is about 90, up to more than 150. The flower is white, the capsule is short, but the number of seeds per capsule is more, generally about 75, the grain is larger, the weight of a thousand seeds is about 2.7 grams, the seed coat is white, the seed oil content is 56.09%, and the protein is 20.11%. It is an ideal variety for oil and foreign trade. The resistance to stem point blight and Fusarium wilt was significantly stronger than that of the control Ezhi 2. The average disease index of stem point blight and Fusarium wilt in two years was 6.56 and 1.62, respectively, which was 3.68 and 0.35 lower than that of Ezhi 2. The ability of stain resistance and lodging resistance is strong. The normal growth period of summer sowing is about 90-100 days, and that of autumn sowing is about 85 days. In the regional trial of sesame varieties in Hubei Province from 2001 to 2002, the average yield per mu in two years was 80.88kg, which was 14.32% higher than that of the control Ezhi 2.
Cultivation points: ⑴ intensive cultivation, deep ditch narrow box, not continuous cropping, pay attention to drainage. ⑵ sowed seeds in time. Summer sowing from mid-late May to early June, and autumn sowing no later than July 10. The sowing amount is 400-500 grams per mu. The planting density is about 10 000 plants per mu in summer, 0. 8-9000 plants in high fertility level and 1. 1-12000 plants in autumn. ⑶ fertilizing scientifically. Apply 40 kg compound fertilizer per mu (or 50 kg superphosphate, 12 kg potassium chloride, 10 kg urea) and 1.2 kg borax before ploughing. About 5-7 kg of urea is applied from bud to the first flower mu. ⑷ generally ploughs and weeds 3-4 times, in line with the principle of shallow-deep-shallow and no hoeing before rain. Seedlings show "cross" and the emergence of the second pair of true leaves between seedlings, 3-4 pairs of true leaves fixed seedlings, to prevent tall seedlings. Pay attention to ditch drainage, irrigation in the evening, irrigation with irrigation, timely prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, especially ground tigers and aphids.
Zhongzhi 12 is suitable to be planted in Hubei and nearby major sesame producing provinces.

A New Sesame Variety with High Yield and High Resistance--Jinzhi No.1
Jinzhi 1 is a new sesame variety bred by Wheat Research Institute of Shanxi Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 1994, it passed the provincial variety examination and approval, and in 1998, it was recognized by the Provincial Science and Technology Commission. The new sesame variety "Gan Ramie No. 3", formerly known as B232, was selected by Jiangxi Hemp Research Institute for 12 years. The whole growth period was 190 days, including 81 days for head anaesthesia, 45 days for second anaesthesia and 64 days for third hemp. Plant height 172~198cm, stem diameter 1.0~1.2cm, fresh skin thickness 0.85mm, flax rate 12.4%, medium plant splitting ability. The leaf is large and nearly round, with many and deep wrinkles on the leaf surface, thicker villi on the back, deep and sparse serrations on the leaf margin, and petiole angles.
