Annual intercropping of mushrooms and ginger in citrus orchard

Since the autumn of 1989 (September), white mushrooms have been planted between rows, covering an area of about 44 square meters. According to the calculation, the investment is about 400 yuan, and the net income of autumn mushroom and spring mushroom is more than 500 yuan. After the spring mushroom was harvested in April 1990, the mushroom material was buried in the soil, ready to plant ginger. The tender ginger was dug up before the middle of August, 115 kilograms of ginger was produced and a net income of more than 180 yuan was obtained.
As long as the branches and leaves between the rows of sparse orchards are not handed over, and there is still more than 50% light in summer, it is just right for ginger to grow and avoid building a shade shed. The direct light is not strong in autumn, winter and spring, and the humidity between rows is also high, which is suitable for the development of mushroom hyphae and fruiting bodies. If the garden is very shady, you can also interplant mushrooms and mushrooms all the year round, and do not grow ginger. The row spacing of sparse planting orchards is generally more than 4 meters, while intercropping is only 1.2 meters wide, which basically does not hinder orchard management. Intercropping also plays a role in covering the garden soil, and the mushroom material can be pressed into the soil to improve soil fertility.
