Tulip bud management
1. Temperature
When the leaves are as long as 4: 5, and a young flower stem is drawn out in the middle, the temperature can be raised to 22: 24 °C, 8: 00 am, 13: 15 ℃; 2: 22: 24 ℃; 5: 00 pm, 16: 18 ℃.
2. Moisture
Don't water the buds to prevent them from rotting. The air humidity should be kept above 70%, so water should be sprayed not only on the plants and in the flowerpots, but also in all the open spaces around the flowerpots and in the field. A water container is placed in the planting site to constantly evaporate water into the air to maintain the humidity of the air.
3. Lighting
When the bud is colored, transfer the flowerpot or other planting container to a cooler place, or give a small amount of shade. This can prolong the flowering time, firm stems and bright colors. Strong light exposure, easy to shorten the flowering time, color prematurely fade.
4. Fertilization
After the true leaves are unfolded and the buds appear, trace elements should be applied once. The dosage, concentration and methods are as follows:
Calcium nitrate (100g), potassium nitrate (100g), magnesium nitrate (60g), ferric sulfate (1g), copper sulfate (0.5g), boric acid (0.5g), zinc sulfate (0.5g), sodium molybdate (0.4g) and ammonium molybdate (0.1g) were mixed and dissolved in 10000ml water. After all the trace elements are dissolved, the mother liquid is formed and stored. Dilute the mother liquor with water 10 times when using it. Spray the solution evenly on the stems and leaves with a sprayer. The dosage per mu is 50000ml. On a cloudy day or in the morning or evening. Do not spray before rain or when the sun is strong. When the sun is good, spray again with clean water 5-6 hours after spraying. Such as in the greenhouse, greenhouse to promote cultivation, before spraying trace elements, should try to raise the temperature, and then spray. Experience has proved that there is a positive correlation between the absorption rate of fertilization inside and outside the root of tulip and the temperature. In order to make a good contact between the nutrient solution and the leaf surface, adding a small amount of soap, or diluted carpentry glue, or potato starch solution to the prepared trace element solution can achieve the desired purpose.
At the initial stage of budding, 250g potassium nitrate or 1000g plant ash was used, water 100000ml was added, dissolved and filtered, and then directly applied to the soil.

Tulips blossom for three years in a row
Since 1998, I have been planted with 8 tulip bulbs sold in the market for three consecutive years, blooming every year, and have bred 40 or 50 bulbs. The book says that tulips are planted at the end of October and early November, and the main producing country, the Netherlands, is a high-latitude country with a cold climate, so tulips should grow in a cold environment, and potted plants should be kept outside, not indoors or in a greenhouse. Otherwise, it will not blossom (this is also the conclusion I reached in a comparative experiment). It does not sprout outdoors in winter until early spring and February.

What are the characteristics of tulips
Tulip, also known as grass musk and lotus, has the following characteristics: 1. Sex likes a warm, moist, sunny or semi-overcast environment. The bulb can survive the winter in the open field under proper protection. Avoid the heat of summer, so the aboveground parts gradually wither into dormancy from June to September. The optimum temperature for tulip growth is 15-18 ℃, the rooting temperature is more than 5 ℃, the optimum temperature for flower bud differentiation is 17-23 ℃, and more than 35 ℃ will be inhibited. The cue ball gradually withered a month after flowering, and a new one formed at its base.
