Tulips blossom for three years in a row
Since 1998, I have been planted with 8 tulip bulbs sold in the market for three consecutive years, blooming every year, and have bred 40 or 50 bulbs. The book says that tulips are planted at the end of October and early November, and the main producing country, the Netherlands, is a high-latitude country with a cold climate, so tulips should grow in a cold environment, and potted plants should be kept outside, not indoors or in a greenhouse. Otherwise, it will not blossom (this is also the conclusion I reached in a comparative experiment). In winter, it grows roots and does not sprout outside. It does not begin to sprout until early spring and February. It grows stems and leaves and blossoms in late April and early May. I think we should plant the ball in an outdoor environment of about 0 ℃ in winter for more than a month, and then plant it in spring (I haven't tried it, of course, but it might be successful by reasoning). I think it's because the ball has been frozen in Holland.
Once I found that there was a white nematode in the soil, the root of the bulbous flower would be bitten into a nodule, and the plant would not grow and atrophy. In recent years, I have to look at the soil, spray the soil with "radar" insecticide, and then seal it in a plastic bag for 2 to 4 weeks before using it.
It is also inappropriate to keep tulips in plastic bags. I found that the seed ball is easy to mildew in a plastic bag, sometimes the appearance is the same but the core is rotten, it is easiest to keep it in a paper bag.
I feel that before planting each kind of flower, we should first find some books or newspapers about flowers to take a look at the suitable conditions for this kind of flower to grow. Mainly (1) planting season, temperature range; (2) like Yang or Yin; (3) like wet or dry; (4) like fat or thin. Generally speaking, these four basic conditions have been understood and basically achieved, so it is not difficult to grow and bloom normally, but it is not easy to grow luxuriantly and gorgeously, and it needs correct and careful care.
The place where I grow tulips is on the third-floor outdoor balcony of an unsealed window in Zhenjiang City, along the Yangtze River. the lowest temperature can reach-5 ℃. When the temperature is from-3 ℃ to-5 ℃, I move the potted tulips indoors for a few days to prevent the whole basin from freezing and freezing the roots. At other temperatures, tulips bask in the sun on the balcony.

Fusarium wilt of Tulip
The disease is also known as tulip base rot. It is a fungal disease, which is specialized by Fusarium moniliforme and Fusarium oxysporum. It is host-specific and only harms tulips. All of them are caused by semi-known fungi. The pathogen overwintered with mycelia and chlamydospores in infected bulbs and soil. Under the condition of suitable temperature (20 ℃ ~ 34 ℃) and high humidity, a large number of spores were produced and spread by Rain Water sputtering. Excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer can aggravate the damage, and the application of compost with diseased remains not fully mature can also increase the chance of disease. The transportation of seed bulbs is helpful to the long-distance spread of the disease. Plant a diseased bulb

Tulip bud management
1, temperature when the leaves grow 4~5 pieces, the middle of a young flower stem, the temperature can be increased to 22~24 C, 8 am, 13~15℃; 2 pm 22~24℃; 5 pm, 16~18℃. 2. Water should not be poured on the buds to prevent them from rotting. The humidity of the air is maintained at more than 70%, so not only should water be sprayed frequently on the plants and flowerpots, but also around the flowerpots and all open spaces in the field should be sprayed frequently. A water container is placed in the planting field to continuously supply air.
