A New Potato Line "Wuxuan 2" Passed Field Evaluation by Yunnan Province Expert Group
The new potato strain "Wuxuan No.2" selected by Nanhua County Agricultural Bureau, Chuxiong Plant Protection Station and Wujie Town Agricultural push Center of Nanhua County has passed the field evaluation of provincial and state experts.
The experts attending the meeting listened to the introduction of the breeding unit on the breeding process, regional test, and production demonstration, examined the relevant materials, and made an on-the-spot investigation to Wujie Town to harvest the two production sites. The expert group fully affirmed that the breeding process of the strain was clear, and participated in the regional test of potato varieties in Yunnan Province from 2003 to 2005 and the multi-point production test in 2006, which showed stable yield, high yield, resistance to late blight, high dry matter content and wide adaptability. It can be planted in Dachun or winter, and agreed to pass the field evaluation. It is suggested that we should actively do a good job in the next step of variety approval to make it the first new potato variety with independent property rights in our state.

A New Potato Variety "Huishun 23"
First, the variety characteristics of resistance to late blight, long growth period, potato-shaped oval, yellowish skin, smooth epidermis, medium-deep bud eyes, short dormancy period, dry matter content of 22.7%-23.2%, no strange smell. Second, the suitable planting range showed high yield in the spring sowing area in one season, and the planting yield was even higher than Huishun 88 in the area about 2100 meters above sea level.
