It was approved by Gansu crop Variety approval Committee in 1995 and won the second prize for scientific and technological progress in Gansu Province in April 2002. The variety matured in the middle and late stage, and the growth period (from emergence to maturity) was about 110 days. The starch content of potato chips is 20.09-24.25%, which is 3-5% higher than that of the general mid-late maturing varieties.

1. Variety introduction

Longshu No. 3 (original code 161-2) is a new potato variety with high starch selected by grain breeding method of Gansu Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It was approved by Crop Variety Examination Committee of Gansu Province in 1995 and won the second prize of scientific and technological progress in Gansu Province in April 2002. The variety is mid-late maturing, and its growth period (from emergence to maturity) is about 110 days. The starch content of potato is 20.09-24.25%, which is 3- 5% higher than that of ordinary middle and late maturing varieties. It is very suitable for starch processing. High resistance to late blight, mosaic, leaf curl virus disease with field resistance. The average yield per mu in multi-site production test demonstration is 2793.2 kg, which is 37.3% higher than that in control. It is not only suitable for planting in cold, humid, shady and semi-arid areas of Gansu Province, but also expanded to Ningxia, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Tibet, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and other provinces.

Longshu No. 5 (original code 216-10) is a new potato variety bred by Food Crops Research Institute of Gansu Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2002. This variety ripens late, the growth period (emergence to maturity) is about 115 days. It is an excellent vegetable variety and can also be used as starch processing raw material. The plants were highly resistant to late blight, mosaic virus and leaf roll virus. The yield per mu of production test and demonstration is 2363.5-3415.0 kg, which is 18.9-55.6% higher than that of main varieties in various places. It is not only suitable for planting in cold, humid, shady and semi-arid areas of Gansu Province, but also expanded to Ningxia, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Tibet, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and other provinces.

Longshu 6 (original code 19408-10) is a new potato variety with starch and whole flour processing, which was bred by Food Crops Research Institute of Gansu Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2004. Approved by the National Crop Variety Approval Committee in May 2005. This variety ripens late, the growth period (emergence to maturity) is about 115 days. Strong growth potential, lush plants, is a high starch, low reducing sugar, both suitable for starch processing, but also suitable for full-flour processing potato varieties. Strong disease resistance, high resistance to late blight, mosaic, leaf curl virus disease, has a good field resistance. The yield is 2835.5-4020.0 kg per mu in production test and demonstration, which is 14.4-78.4% higher than that of main varieties in various places. it is not only suitable for popularize and planting in cold, overcast and semi-arid area of Gansu Province, but also suitable for popularizing and planting in northern one-season cropping areas such as Guyuan area of Ningxia, Hainan prefecture of Qinghai, Zhangjiakou and Chengde area of Hebei, Wumeng and Wuchuan area of Inner Mongolia.
