Last Updated: 2024/11/24, The damaged plants were dwarfed and the leaves changed color, their growth declined, and the leaves were orange to yellow in color. The disease of indica rice is mostly orange or slightly reddish, also known as red leaf disease. The young leaves are mottled and the old ones are mottled. At present, 11 kinds of rice virus diseases (including two kinds of mycoplasmic diseases) have been found in China. they are common dwarf disease, yellow leaf disease, striped leaf blight, black streak dwarf disease, Verticillium wilt, grass dwarf disease, cluster dwarf disease, sawtooth leaf dwarf disease, orange leaf disease, Donggler disease and tumor dwarf disease. Rice common dwarf disease and yellow leaf disease are harmful in southern China.

At present, 11 kinds of rice virus diseases (including two kinds of plasmid diseases) have been found in China, including common dwarf disease, yellow leaf disease, stripe disease, black stripe dwarf disease, verticillium wilt, grassy dwarf disease, cluster dwarf disease, serrated leaf dwarf disease, orange leaf disease, tunglu disease and tubercle dwarf disease. Rice dwarf disease and yellow leaf disease were the most serious diseases in southern China, while stripe disease was common in northern China.

Because these virus diseases are transmitted by leafhoppers or planthoppers, and most of them are persistent transmission, it is the most important control measure to control insects and prevent diseases and eliminate the vector before transmission. The following chemicals can be mixed with water and sprayed: 8% buprofezin WP 15- 25g per mu;25% metolcarb WP 50ml per mu, etc. In addition, some measures, such as selecting disease-resistant varieties, adjusting sowing time properly, reducing flower arranging fields, clearing weeds on ditch ridges early, etc., also had certain disease prevention effects.

Generally speaking, the pesticides for controlling rice virus diseases include Pushiling WP, Metronarb WP, Chlorpyrifos EC, Regent Granules, etc., but in different periods and different areas, the pesticides should not be used indiscriminately to avoid causing greater losses. Moreover, once rice is infected with virus diseases such as stripe disease and black stripe dwarf disease, there is no medicine to cure them, which seriously affects rice yield. The following is a brief introduction to the integrated control of rice virus diseases.

Control methods: focus on "pest control and disease prevention", comprehensively apply agricultural, physical and chemical control measures to prevent the occurrence of rice virus diseases.
