Last Updated: 2024/11/05, In July, August and September every year, the climate is hot, so farmed eel is prone to serious diseases. Its main manifestations are as follows: 1. Gill rot caused by parasites or bacteria. 2. Hepatonephrotic syndrome caused by feed or management factors. The high mortality rate and difficult treatment of these two diseases are the biggest headaches for many farmers. According to the follow-up survey in recent years, I have expressed some opinions on this issue. In July, August and September every year, the climate is hot, so farmed eel is prone to serious diseases.

First, give priority to prevention to avoid the occurrence of diseases

The specific operations are as follows: 1. Use insecticides regularly, mainly to prevent parasites such as ring worm, rotifer and so on. 2. Cooperate with the use of conventional fungicides such as potassium permanganate, bleaching powder, chlorine dioxide and so on.

Second, strengthen water quality management, turn on more aerators and cultivate more green algae

The water depth had better be controlled at 1.5-1.7 meters, which, coupled with the thermal insulation of green algae, is conducive to the stability of the pond water, but at the same time, we must cooperate with more aerators to ensure that the pond water has enough dissolved oxygen, otherwise a large number of green algae die and a large number of bad algae multiply to become the dominant population, which will make the transparency of pond water very low and make water quality management more difficult.

Third, feeding control is very important.

For the old eel, it is better to have a meal before 9 o'clock in the morning; for the new eel, we should pay attention to adding more vitamin C in the feed while strictly controlling the feeding amount to improve the immunity of the eel.

Fourth, choose high quality feed

Farmers mostly choose processing materials, during this period of processing materials to reduce the use of red fish meal, if must be used, it is best to choose high-quality red fish meal with good freshness and low histamine content to ensure feed quality.
