Raise growing pigs well in summer and autumn

Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Piglets are weaned at the age of 3-6 weeks and kept in weaning houses for 4 weeks. When the body weight is 20-50 kg, they are called growing pigs because of the rapid growth of bones and muscles. At this stage, the protein level is 16% and the lysine content is 0.8%. A large amount of adipose tissue is deposited at 50-110 kg, so the levels of protein and lysine can be appropriately reduced to 14% and 0.65%, respectively. General pig farmers are used to using feed concentrate or premix with corn, wheat bran and other raw materials, but it should be noted that the quality of the premix produced by some manufacturers is not up to standard, resulting in pigs.

In the management of growing pigs, pay attention to the following points-pay attention to cooling. The temperature in some areas is still relatively high in early autumn, so pig raising should pay attention to taking cooling measures and flushing water to the pig body and the floor of the pig house to cool down. Don't rinse on the head when bathing the pig. After the pig has finished eating, give the pig enough clean cold water.

Feed more green fodder. Feed some high-calorie feed properly. Special attention should be paid to taking anti-mosquito measures so that pigs can sleep quietly.

Pay attention to the feed reserve. In autumn, especially in late autumn and early winter, the temperature is suitable and the feed is sufficient, which is a good season for the growth and development of pigs. Sweet potatoes, potato, peanut seedlings, bean stalks and other crushed fermented pigs are all very good feed. Potato tubers and legume pods can be dried and crushed and then used to feed pigs.

Increase the frequency of disinfection. Because pathogenic microorganisms are easy to be killed by heat sources, the disinfection effect is better than in winter. Therefore, if you can carry out all in and out before the arrival of autumn, thoroughly clean the cottage and disinfect it repeatedly, it will be of great benefit to the health of raising pigs in winter.
