Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The new soybean variety Tiefeng 29 was bred by Tieling Soybean Science Research Institute of Liaoning Province in 1987 with high yield, 56.1 g per plant yield, many branches, dense pods, large and neat grains and 100-grain weight of 25.4 g tie 8114-7-4 as the female parent. it was sexually crossed with the general but lodging-resistant tie 84059-13-8 as the male parent, and the original line number was tie 87107-6, which was approved by Liaoning Variety examination and approval Committee in November 1997. The characteristic of this variety is limited podding.

The new soybean variety Tiefeng 29 was bred by Tieling Soybean Science Research Institute of Liaoning Province in 1987 with high yield, 56.1 g per plant yield, many branches, dense pods, large and neat grains and 100-grain weight of 25.4 g tie 8114-7-4 as the female parent. it was sexually crossed with the general but lodging-resistant tie 84059-13-8 as the male parent, and the original line number was tie 87107-6, which was approved by Liaoning Variety examination and approval Committee in November 1997.

The characteristics of this variety are limited podding habits, purple flowers, gray hairs, oval leaves, dark green leaves, thick leaves, average plant height 69cm, 3 branches, 64.2 pods per plant, complete grain rate 93.2%, no purple spot, no brown spot, 100-grain weight 23.5-25g, resistance to mosaic virus, rarely infected with other leaf diseases such as downy mildew during growth. The growth period is 130-133 days.

From 1993 to 1994, this variety participated in the regional trial in Liaoning Province. After 14 trials at 8 points in two years, all the experiments showed an increase in yield, with an average yield of 183.2kg per mu, which was 15.2% higher than that of the control species (Tiefeng 24, Liaodou 10, Kaiyu 10), ranking first among the tested materials. Participated in the production experiment in Liaoning Province from 1994 to 1995. Through 15 experiments at 10 points in the province, the average yield per mu was 183.5kg, which was 23.3% higher than that of the control (Tiefeng 24, Tiefeng 27, Liaodou 10, Dandou 5). The large area demonstration from 1995 to 1996 generally reflected well, such as: Baijiagou Town, Faku County planted 201mu, average yield per mu 213.7kg, Laozhong County Laoguantuo Township planted 170mu, average yield per mu 205.5 kg. Small area of high-yield fields: such as Huludao City Lianshan District planting 4 mu, average mu yield 272kg, Tieling County Pingdingbao Town 5 mu, average mu yield 256.7kg. It was extended to 600000 mu in 1998 and 900000 mu in 1999. After 2000, it can be popularized and planted more than 1 million mu every year, accounting for more than 1 million mu of planting area in the province. Tiefeng 29 soybean has a high protein content. The results of three-year tests by Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences show that the protein content is 45.02% and the fat content is 19.11%, with a total of 64.13%. To achieve the national goal of quality breeding, which belongs to the domestic advanced level.

Regions and techniques are suitable for planting in soils with medium or above fertility. Hole sowing with two plants per hole, 7000-10000 seedlings per mu, fertile land should be sparse and thin land should be dense. Strengthen shoveling during the growth period to control pests in time. In recent years, Jiangsu, Sichuan and other places introduced cooking soybeans have considerable benefits.
