Xiang Chundou 18 (soybean)
Xiangchundou 18 is a new mid-maturing conventional soybean variety bred by crop Research Institute of Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. its parent is Huaichun 79-16 / Zhechun 1.
The characteristic of this variety is that the total growth days are 101 days, the plant is erect, the plant height is 66 cm, the stem is medium diameter, the pod bearing habit is limited, the number of main stem nodes is 12.8, the branches are 2.5 leaves of medium size, oval, white flowers, gray hairs. There were 18.4 pods per plant, with an average of 2.3 pods per pod. The pod is light brown when ripe, and the bottom pod is about 16 cm high. The seed is oval, the seed coat is yellow, the navel is brown, the weight of 100 seeds is about 20 grams, the grain is neat and the complete grain rate is high. In the regional trial of spring soybean in Hunan Province from 1996 to 1997, the average yield per mu was 162.7 kg, which was 7.8% higher than that of the control variety Xiangchundou 10, and the highest yield per mu was 250kg. The quality is good, the protein content is 43.17%, the fat content is 22.84%, and the total content of protein and fat is 66.01%.
