Shading if there is no natural forest shading on the cultivated ground, remove the mulch before emergence, and then build a shading shed with a height of 80-100cm, covered with Artemisia grass, straw curtain or nylon net.

Topdressing Asarum likes fertilizer, on the basis of applying sufficient base fertilizer, topdressing is carried out twice a year, the first time is in the first and middle of May, and the second time is in the middle and last ten days of July, that is, after mixing with rotten pig manure (5kg/ square meters) and calcium superphosphate (100g/ square meters), it is applied in trenches between rows.

Intertillage weeding 3-4 times a year. When ploughing, the bed side should be shallow, the middle should be a little deep, the rhizosphere should be shallow hoe, the row should be deep hoe, and the principle is not to hurt the root.

Asarum for drought prevention and drainage is a whisker root plant, the root system is mostly distributed in the 15cm soil layer, afraid of drought and waterlogging. Drought often occurs in Northeast China from mid-May to late June, and it should be watered in time in case of drought. July-August is divided into rainy season, drainage ditches should be dug in advance, and stagnant water in the field should be removed in time after rain.

Remove the shade after mid-September, remove the shade; after the ground withered, clean the bed, pick up withered leaves and other sundries outside the garden and burn them.

Apply capping fertilizer in autumn and press a layer of soil on the bed covered with 1-2cm mature farm manure (capping fertilizer) or covered with a layer of litter before freezing. Covering can keep warm and moisturize and prevent buds from freezing damage. After thawing in the next spring, remove the covered branches and leaves in time to facilitate seedling emergence.
