Propagation and cultivation of Cherry Blossom
The propagation method of cherry blossoms is mainly grafting, and in a few cases, striping and cutting are used, but the survival rate is low.
Grafting is mainly by bud grafting and branch grafting. The rootstock mainly uses cherry, but also can use Dashan cherry, tail leaf cherry, peach, apricot and other seedlings. If you use cherries as rootstocks, after harvesting cherries, remove meat, wash, can not be dried, with wet sand layer up, if the seeds are dry, it will affect the germination rate. Sowing in autumn or early spring of the following year, sturdy sowing seedlings can be used as budding rootstocks in autumn. After budding, do not cut off the branches, but cut off the rootstocks at the upper 2cm of the detached buds before budding in the early spring of the next year to promote the budding and growth. Branch grafting is usually done by splicing or splicing, before sprouting in March in spring. The experimental results show that the survival rate of splicing method is the highest.
Cultivation and management
First, soil requirements and improvement measures. When planting cherry blossoms, we should choose deep, fertile, well-drained loam, especially heavy air pollution should not be planted. Cherry blossoms can grow well in sandy loam and clayey loam (PH5.5-6.5) with more humus. In the places where the soil is heavy in the south, it is generally mixed with self-made rotten leaf soil (soil made by collecting leaves and acid soil, chicken dung and charcoal powder). Note that all the original clods must be broken before mixing, otherwise it will not play the role of soil improvement.
The high planting method is adopted where the groundwater level is less than 1 meter, that is, the whole planting hole is flattened, and then soil is piled up to plant seedlings. When sulfur or ferrous sulfate is needed in alkaline soil in northern China, the pH value should be adjusted to about 6. Application of sulfur powder 2 grams per square meter, valid for 1-2 years, and annual determination, so that the ph value is not more than 7.
II. Planting measures
1. Planting time
Planting immediately after the soil is thawed in early spring, usually in March.
two。 Planting method
Cherry blossom is a shallow-rooted tree species, the tree hole is larger than the general tree species when planted, in order to facilitate the extension of the root system. Prepare the ground carefully before planting. A hole with a diameter of 1 meter and a depth of 0.8 meters can be dug on flat land. Fill the hole with about half the depth of the improved soil and put the seedlings in the center so that the roots of the seedlings extend in all directions. After filling a small amount of soil, lift the seedling slightly upward, so that the root system can be fully extended and tread lightly in the row. Keep a proper distance of 4-6cm between the plants so that the trees can get enough light. The depth of planting seedlings should be 5 cm from the ground of the uppermost roots. After planting, make a water nest and fully irrigate it, and finally support it with bamboo slices about the height of the root seedling to prevent it from being blown down by the wind. When transplanting cherry blossoms, they should bring more roots, soil balls, and thinning branches properly.
III. Management measures
1. Drought prevention
Seedlings are vulnerable to drought after planting, in addition to adequate irrigation during planting, irrigation should be done once in the next 8 to 10 days to keep the soil moist but loosen the soil without stagnant water irrigation. It is best to cover the surface thinly with grass to reduce water evaporation. In order to prevent the trunk from drying within 3 years after planting, it can be wrapped with straw. However, 3 years later, the seedlings grow new roots and gradually increase their adaptability to the environment, so there is no need to cover grass.
2. Growth period management
Cherry blossoms are fertilized twice a year, and acid fertilizer is better. One was winter fertilizer, which applied organic fertilizers such as bean cake, chicken manure and mature fertilizer in winter or early spring, and the other applied quick-acting fertilizers such as ammonia sulfate, ferrous sulfate and calcium superphosphate after falling flowers. In general, large cherry trees can use the method of hole application, that is, at the edge of the positive projection line of the crown, dig a circular ditch with a depth of about 10 cm, and apply fertilizer. This method is not only simple and beneficial to root absorption, but also increases the diameter and depth of circular furrow with the growth of trees.
The root distribution of cherry blossoms is shallow, which requires good drainage and ventilation, so people, animals and vehicles should not stand firm in the soil around the tree, especially in the range of root distribution. Pedestrian trampling will weaken the tree, shorten its life, and even cause rotten roots to die.
IV. Pruning and maintenance
Pruning is mainly to cut off withered branches, overgrown branches, overlapping branches and disease and insect branches. In addition, when many branches grow on the trunk of large cherry blossoms, a number of strong branches should be retained, and the rest should be cut off from the base to facilitate ventilation and light. The pruned branches should disinfect the wound with medicine in time to prevent the invasion of bacteria after rain, resulting in decay. Cherry blossoms after a long period of sun exposure, the bark is easy to aging damage, resulting in decay, it should be removed in time and disinfection treatment. After that, the rotten part was bandaged with rotten leaf soil and carbon powder to promote its normal physiological function.

Root cancer of cherry blossoms
Cherry blossoms are distributed in Liaoning, Hebei, Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guizhou in China, and mostly in Japan and Korea. Xiguang, like deep, fertile and well-drained soil, have weak resistance to smoke, harmful gases and sea tide wind. It has certain cold tolerance, shallow root system and easy cultivation. Cherry blossoms blossom in spring and are very beautiful. It should be planted on hillsides, courtyards, in front of buildings and by the side of the garden road. The disease is a common and serious disease of cherry blossoms, which generally occurs in the areas where cherry blossoms are introduced. Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Jinan, Wu

Key points of large branch cutting propagation technology of cherry blossom
Cherry propagation, in the past generally in the spring with cherry as rootstock, branch grafting, this method of propagation more labor and material, not suitable for the rapid development of landscaping on a large number of seedlings demand, in recent years, we carried out large branch cutting propagation seedlings, achieved good results. 1. The selection of cuttings selects young and robust mother trees, cuts annual strong branches at the periphery of the middle and upper parts of the crown, retains the top tips, cuts into 30-40 cm long cuttings, cuts into oblique openings at the lower parts, and cuts the cuttings cut on the same day.
